4.1 During the loading / unloading phases of the spreader on the vehicle
Danger of injury due to impact and crushing in the event of unexpected machine movement, loss of stability
(failure of the ground on which the machine rests) or roll-over due to accidental events.
It is avoided instructing the operators that the maneuvers to load the spreader on the vehicle must be carried
out in compliance with the precautions reported in the instruction manual (absence of people in the area affected
by the operations, verification of the resistance of the ground against the punching effect of the supports ,
maintenance of safety distances by operators responsible for checking the loading phases, etc.)
Danger of injury due to slipping and falling of operators who have moved to a raised position
It is avoided by instructing the operators that, in order to move up on the spreader or on the vehicle, the
precautions and prohibitions indicated must also be observed with warnings on the machine (fiberglass hood not
walkable) and on the instruction manual (use suitable scales to move upwards without ever getting on the
machine structure, etc. )
Danger of injury due to material projected outside the spreader containment tank
It is avoided instructing the operators that the maneuvers for loading the material in the spreader tank must take
place with the absolute certainty that no person is exposed near the spreader during the loading of the material.
Danger of injury due to falling from the top when checking the filling level of the spreader
Pagina 9 di 64
Use the specially designed ladder on the side of the spreader to have adequate grip points for the hands and
support for the feet when going up and down from the station above.
Danger of injury due to impact, crushing and shearing of limbs in the opening maneuvers of the spreading tail with
rotating plate
It is avoided by instructing operators on the dangers present at the time of opening the spreading queue:
Danger of crushing the hands between resealable parts that go into abutment
Danger of unexpected movement of the spreader line due to loss of grip on the operators
You will have to work standing on the side of the machine and never on the back where you could be involved by
the descent of the spreading tail with rotating disc.
Suitable Personal Protective Equipment must be used, such as shoes and resistant gloves with good grip on
surfaces to avoid the risk of loss of grip during the phases of support and displacement of the spreading tail.
The locking handles must always be inserted according to the instructions in the instruction manual.
Danger of injury due to accidental contact with the moving parts of the conveyor belt of the material that can be
reached from under the machine.
It is avoided by instructing operators to make sure that the machine is absolutely stationary, as long as there
are operators on the ground exposed to the dangers deriving from the actuation of the mechanical organs.
Possible injuries due to the involvement of the operators in the trajectory of the material in the spillage phase;
It is avoided instructing the operators that the spreading maneuvers of the material must take place with the
absolute certainty that no person is exposed in the operating range of the machine.

The power supply can be at 12Vdc direct current or 24Vdc direct current (this depends on the application and
consequently the kit of relyas ordered together).
Always power the system with the correct voltage in order to avoid damage and / or malfunctions.
After installing the system connect it to the battery: the blue wire must be connected to the positive terminal
while the brown wire to the negative terminal.
Even if the system is protected against inversion of the power supply polarity, always pay attention to make a
correct connection.
Before disconnecting the control unit, press the main switch or the emergency button to prevent it from being
switched on.
The system is switched on using the switch # 1 which, via the main relay contained in the junction box, enables
operation of the system when the emergency mushroom is released.
The system status on is easily recognizable from the entry into operation of the display.
With the engine off and in the presence of the oil pressure alarm (steady light on), pressing the Engine Start
button for at least 3 seconds activates the engine start.
The 3 seconds are those needed for the diesel engine preheating glow plugs.
With the engine running, the Engine Stop button activates the engine stop.
When the engine is running, the blinking fuel warning light indicates the fuel reserve status.

Press the activation button to start spreading. When spreading is not active, by pressing the button the
spreading is activated and the same
The automatic operation is based on the vehicle speed reading using the GPS device inside the OBU Unit.
The speed reading must be above 5Km / h in order for the spread to work once it has been activated.
The spreading depends on the vehicle speed and is interrupted when the speed is less than 5km / h.
The spreading starts again, without any intervention by the operator, when the speed returns to exceed 5km / h.
Pagina 13/20
User Manual
If the GPS signal is no longer detected during the spreading phase, the system uses the last speed read correctly
and after 10 seconds of absence of the GPS signal the anomaly is indicated by the alarm condition indicated
below.
WARNING The vehicle speed remains set to the last value read so the activation button must be pressed to
stop spreading. It is then possible to switch to manual speed operation (see below).
In the event of problems in detecting the speed of the GPS system (for example, in areas that are lightly covered
or not covered at all, such as tunnels), the speed display (position #B of the display) is flashing: at regular
intervals and close together written alternately passes from black characters on a white background to white
characters on a black background.
In order to spread in areas with no GPS signal, it is necessary to set the vehicle speed MANUALLY in this way:
COMANDO MANUALE
TEMPO 0:00:00
MATERIALE 0 Kg
LIQUIDO 0l
DISTANZA 0,0 Km +
- set the desired speed (eg 40 Km / h) using the two PLUS buttons (to increase the speed value in
steps of 5Km / h) and MINUS (to decrease the speed value in steps of 5Km / h).
Pagina 14/20
User Manual
In spreading mode with MANUAL speed (manual speed different from 0) the spreading takes place considering
the vehicle speed constant and equal to the set value. To spread with the density indicated on the display it is
essential that the vehicle travels at the set speed that is shown on the display.
Since spreading no longer depends on the real speed of the vehicle, it is necessary to press the activation button
to activate and deactivate the spreading: e.g. when the vehicle stops at a traffic light, it is necessary to manually
deactivate the spread and then reactivate it at the start
Spreading is only activated if the disc is not reclined, ie when the "reclined disc" light is off. When this light is
on, the spreading is blocked and the relative Spread On light is turned off.
To resume spreading it is necessary to lower the disc to the working position and press the spreading
activation button again.
The BLAST command can be activated using the BLAST button and is effective only when the spreading is active.
It forces the delivery of the material to the maximum possible regardless of vehicle speed and spreading
density. The set spreading width is maintained.
The BLAST control allows, for example, to spread more in dangerous areas or where ice formation is easier.
The BLAST control is effective even when the spreading is interrupted due to a speed lower than 5km / h: this is
very useful to ensure spreading at intersections both when the vehicle is stopping and in the restart phase, ie
from when the vehicle starts moving when the GPS speed exceeds 5km / h (instant when the spreading starts
automatically). It should be emphasized that the crossroads area is typically a dangerous area and therefore
must be spread abundantly.

METHOD UPLOAD
This mode allows you to empty the container of the material to be dispensed in a simple and safe way. The
discharge can be useful, for example, when you have to change the type of material or at the end of the season
to avoid having some material in the container.
If the discharge is not active, by pressing the activation button, the spreading is activated and vice versa. The
activation of the discharge is signaled by the Spread On warning light coming on.

In case of water reserve "---" appears instead of the percentage value and the "spread alarm" light flashes.
During the unloading the vehicle can not exceed the limit speed of 5km / h. If the vehicle exceeds the limit of
5km / h the delivery stops and an audible alarm sounds.
ATTENTION: when the supply is interrupted because the speed limit has been exceeded, START must be
activated to restart the discharge. The only decrease in speed below the limit does not reactivate the delivery.
