To adjust the height of the spreading disc, proceed according to the

following indications:

MAKE THE MAXIMUM ATTENTION THAT THIS

OPERATION IS CARRIED OUT WITH THE ENGINE OFF.

 For SPR spreaders, the distribution plate must have a minimum

distance of 40-50 cm from the ground during operation.

To adjust this distance act on the tightening bolts, moving the lower part
of the turret one or two steps

It is absolutely forbidden to start rotating the turntable when the turret is raised and in the transfer
position.

8.4 Adjustment of the amount of material

The DOSAGE of the quantity of material varies according to the material to be spread and is REGULATED,
ELECTRONICALLY, directly from the control panel of the functions of the spreader.
To use the spreader as SPARGISAL, the gate must be completely open.

In case of operational needs other than those preset for the machine by the manufacturer, you can manually
intervene in the adjustment of the material dosage by mounting the lower gate, thus going to decrease the salt
passage section from the hopper .

is not enabled.
N.B. in the event of a power failure or failure of the main valve coil
or electrical problems at the push-button panel, the spreader can
be operated manually by acting on the main valve, screwing it completely (clockwise)
in this way the main solenoid valve is excluded, after which it is possible to manually act on the three flow
regulators which

THEY SHOULD BE SCREWED UPON CLOCKWISE UNTIL OPTIMUM ADJUSTMENT

(when the electronic regulation is reset, all three flyers and the relief valve must be returned to the fully counter-
clockwise position)

9 Saline solution plant characteristics

Description of humidification system
the humidification kit for SPR spreader is made up of tanks that contain the saline solution, which through special
pipes and through an oleodynamic system, is conveyed directly onto the spreader disk together or separately to
the salt of the main hopper.

N.B. DO NOT OPERATE THE HUMIDIFICATION PLANT IN LACK OF LIQUID IN THE TANKS.

In the presence of temperatures below the 0 ° must take precautions

if the implant remains full, the vehicle must be admitted to a shed

 or completely empty the tanks, the pump, the implants and the pipes before being admitted to the outside of the
salt spreader.

N.B. REMEMBER THAT THE SPARGATOR MUST ALWAYS BE EMPTY

Tanks capacity and filling
The tanks have a TOTAL capacity of about 2000 liters.

Pagina 16 di 64
SALINE SOLUTION (SALT AND WATER OR SODIUM
AND WATER CLURENT) DOSED TO 25-27% OF SALT
When the solution is at the minimum level in the tanks, the
sensor placed inside the tank stops the spreader operation
and IT IS NECESSARY TO TOP UP THE SALT
SOLUTION FROM THE UPPER CAPS OR FROM THE
REAR FILLING SEAT
After filling the sensors give consent to the activation of the
functions and the spreader resumes operation.
Activate the water spraying of the push-button panel,
adjusting the quantity of saline solution desired, according
to the needs of the stretch of road, SEE MANUAL OF THE
"ECOMATIC" PUSH-BUTTON PANEL

3 USE OF THE SYSTEM

Supply

The power supply can be at 12Vdc direct current or 24Vdc direct current (this depends on the application and
consequently the kit of relyas ordered together).

Always power the system with the correct voltage in order to avoid damage and / or malfunctions.

After installing the system connect it to the battery: the blue wire must be connected to the positive terminal
while the brown wire to the negative terminal.

Even if the system is protected against inversion of the power supply polarity, always pay attention to make a
correct connection.

To activate the system, the emergency button must be released.

In case of need, press the emergency button.

Before disconnecting the control unit, press the main switch or the emergency button to prevent it from being
switched on.

Ignition of the system

The system is switched on using the switch # 1 which, via the main relay contained in the junction box, enables
operation of the system when the emergency mushroom is released.
The system status on is easily recognizable from the entry into operation of the display.

Thermal engine on / off

With the engine off and in the presence of the oil pressure alarm (steady light on), pressing the Engine Start
button for at least 3 seconds activates the engine start.
The 3 seconds are those needed for the diesel engine preheating glow plugs.
With the engine running, the Engine Stop button activates the engine stop.
When the engine is running, the blinking fuel warning light indicates the fuel reserve status.

AUTOMATIC SPRING OPERATION

It is necessary to be in one of the following operating modes

MIX-SALT 1
MIX-SAND 1
MIX-SALT 2
MIX-SAND 2
SALT
SAND

Press the activation button to start spreading. When spreading is not active, by pressing the button the
spreading is activated and the same

The automatic operation is based on the vehicle speed reading using the GPS device inside the OBU Unit.

The activation of the spreading is signaled by the Spread On warning light:

 it is flashing when the spreading is active but not working because the vehicle is stationary or the GPS
signal is not yet detected
 it is on steady when the spreading is working because the vehicle is moving or a manual speed has
been set
 it is off when the spreading is NOT activated (it is necessary to press the activation button to activate
it)

The speed reading must be above 5Km / h in order for the spread to work once it has been activated.

The spreading depends on the vehicle speed and is interrupted when the speed is less than 5km / h.

The spreading starts again, without any intervention by the operator, when the speed returns to exceed 5km / h.

ECOMATIC 2016 - Manuale Utente_capitolo_A (generale) Ridotta

Pagina 13/20
User Manual

If the GPS signal is no longer detected during the spreading phase, the system uses the last speed read correctly
and after 10 seconds of absence of the GPS signal the anomaly is indicated by the alarm condition indicated
below.
WARNING The vehicle speed remains set to the last value read so the activation button must be pressed to
stop spreading. It is then possible to switch to manual speed operation (see below).

In the event of problems in detecting the speed of the GPS system (for example, in areas that are lightly covered
or not covered at all, such as tunnels), the speed display (position #B of the display) is flashing: at regular
intervals and close together written alternately passes from black characters on a white background to white
characters on a black background.

In order to spread in areas with no GPS signal, it is necessary to set the vehicle speed MANUALLY in this way:

- press the MENU button for a short time.

- the following page appears on the display (note that the manual speed is ZERO because the spreader
it is always set automatically, it is necessary to intervene to switch to manual)

COMANDO MANUALE

TEMPO 0:00:00
MATERIALE 0 Kg
LIQUIDO 0l
DISTANZA 0,0 Km +

VELOCITA’ MANUALE 0 Km/h -

- set the desired speed (eg 40 Km / h) using the two PLUS buttons (to increase the speed value in
steps of 5Km / h) and MINUS (to decrease the speed value in steps of 5Km / h).

ECOMATIC 2016 - Manuale Utente_capitolo_A (generale) Ridotta

Pagina 14/20
User Manual

In spreading mode with MANUAL speed (manual speed different from 0) the spreading takes place considering
the vehicle speed constant and equal to the set value. To spread with the density indicated on the display it is
essential that the vehicle travels at the set speed that is shown on the display.

Since spreading no longer depends on the real speed of the vehicle, it is necessary to press the activation button
to activate and deactivate the spreading: e.g. when the vehicle stops at a traffic light, it is necessary to manually
deactivate the spread and then reactivate it at the start

Spreading is only activated if the disc is not reclined, ie when the "reclined disc" light is off. When this light is
on, the spreading is blocked and the relative Spread On light is turned off.
To resume spreading it is necessary to lower the disc to the working position and press the spreading
activation button again.

The BLAST command can be activated using the BLAST button and is effective only when the spreading is active.
It forces the delivery of the material to the maximum possible regardless of vehicle speed and spreading
density. The set spreading width is maintained.

The BLAST control allows, for example, to spread more in dangerous areas or where ice formation is easier.

The BLAST control is effective even when the spreading is interrupted due to a speed lower than 5km / h: this is
very useful to ensure spreading at intersections both when the vehicle is stopping and in the restart phase, ie
from when the vehicle starts moving when the GPS speed exceeds 5km / h (instant when the spreading starts
automatically). It should be emphasized that the crossroads area is typically a dangerous area and therefore
must be spread abundantly.
