Vacupor RP b2 S Data Sheet English2

Vacupor RP-B2-S is a microporous insulation material made of inorganic oxides like fumed silica. It has an extremely low thermal conductivity. It is used for insulation in applications like cold storage floors, roofs, and prefabricated facade panels. Vacupor RP-B2-S comes in standard sizes from 10-50mm thick and can be single or double-sided rubber coated for easy installation. However, the multilayer vacuum film cannot be damaged during installation to maintain insulation properties.

Description Typical applications

Vacupor® RP-B2-S is a microporous insulation material which has Vacupor® RP-B2-S is successfully used as insulation material in
an extremely low coefficient of thermal conductivity, i.e. with very the following areas:
good insulating properties.
Terrace insulation
Vacupor® RP-B2-S consists of inorganic oxides. The main constituent is Cold storage floor insulation

fumed silica, the other components are opacifiers for minimizing infrared Floor insulation

radiation, and fiber filaments as reinforcing fillers. Vacupor® RP-B2-S is Flat roof insulation

approved by DIBT under the certification number Z-23.11-1662.The

approval is valid for construction applications DAD, DAA, DZ and DEO, Form of delivery
according to standard DIN 4108-10 and prefabricated façade panels with Standard sizes:
insulated glass character. 1200mm x 1000mm
1200mm x 500mm
Vacupor® RP-B2-S conforms to building material class E (B2). The test of 1000mm x 600mm
behaviour in case of fire according DIN 4102-1, May 1998, building material 1000mm x 300mm
class B2; test certificate no. H.3-145/07 and H.3-146/07, was issued by 600mm x 500mm
the Forschungsinstitut für Wärmeschutz e.V. München. The core material 600mm x 250mm
of Vacupor® RP-B2-S is not flammable and is classified A1 according to 300mm x 250mm
DIN ISO EN 13501-1. Special sizes available on request.

Vacupor® RP-B2-S is heat sealed in a multilayer vacuum metalised film. Standard thicknesses:
The very low internal pressure and the microporous panel core enable it 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 mm.
to reach extremely low thermal conductivity values. Further thicknesses on request.

Application Embodiment
Vacupor® RP-B2-S was specially developed for applications in the building One or both sides covered with a 3 mm rubber coating.
and construction industry where an approval by the building authorities is
required. The low density and IR opacifiers contained in these grades greatly Restrictions on applications
reduce the thermal conductivity of Vacupor® RP-B2-S Systems. The metallized, multilayer plastic film of the Vacupor® RP-B2-S must not be
damaged by drilling, cutting, milling, nailing, otherwise the internal pressure
Due to the single- or double-sided coverage with a rubber protection layer, of the panel will rise and the special properties of the panel will be lost.
Vacupor® RP-B2-S is particularly suitable for all kinds of plane linings. The
fixing of the insulation is much easier, and the VIPs can be installed without Shelf life
any damage being caused. Vacupor® RP-B2-S has a very long shelf life. Please also refer to our pressure rise
table: Thermal conductivity as a function of interior pressure.
The fixing of the insulation is substantially facilitated, through the possibility
of bonding with commercial solvent free adhesives. Safety directions
Vacupor® RP-B2-S is not a hazardous substance according to the EU directive
2006/1907/EEC. Please refer to the material safety data sheet. Vacupor® RP-B2-S
does not use any dangerous decomposition products and according to current
knowledge, it does not cause any problems to human health or the environment.
