    • Stores hydraulic oil


    • Cools hydraulic oil
    • Allow air to seperate from the oil
    • Allows contamination to settle to the bottom
    of the tank
    • Contains return line filter
    • It is equipped with a filter and breather
    check valve assembly

    • Oil supplied to the brake, steering and dump


    pumps pass through this filter
    • Makes sure that the oil from the hydraulic system is
    cleaned from particles before it is re-used in the
    pumps
    • Filter indicator displays a red color when the filter
    needs to be replaced.
    • Should be replaced every 500 hours

    • Minetruck MT2200 has tree fixed displacement


    gear pumps, one for the brake system and the
    other for steering and dump systems and the last
    one for converter charge pump.
    • Tandem pump (two pumping sections)
    • Converts diesel engines kinetic energy into
    hydraulic energy in the form of pressure and flow to
    the subsystems.

    • The engine drives the pump via the torque


    converter
    • Operating a control activates specific valves that
    redirect oil to the targeted component.
    • Pressure on the pump side of the pressure control
    valve remains at the level that is designated by the
    pressure control valve set-point, until readjusted.

    Steering cylinders

    • Ensures that the machine turns in proportion to the


    operator’s control.
    • Double acting cylinders provide force in both
    directions.
    • Converts the fluid power from the pump to
    mechanical power.
    • Oil from the unpressurized end of the cylinder
    returns to the hydraulic tank.

    • Double acting cylinders provide force in both


    directions.
    • Converts the fluid power from the pump to
    mechanical power.
    • Able to withstand pressures up to 260 bar.

    Hydraulic accumulators

    • Used to store energy and maintain a smooth flow


    of oil to the following systems during vehicle
    operation:
    - Brakes
    - Emergency steering
    • The accumulators are drained of hydraulic
    pressure by releasing the system pressure.

    1. Charging valve 1. The accumulator is empty and neither gas nor


    hydraulic sides are pressurized.

    2. Gas cap
    2. The accumulator is precharged.

    § Charging valve
    The charging valve is located below the cab towards the front of
    the machine. The charging valve consists of four cartridge valves
    within a valve body. They include:
    - Pressure control valve
    - Bleed valve
    - Vented flow control
    - Charging valve

    • The charging valve regulates the pressure with which the


    accumulators are charged. The engagement pressure is set at
    110 bar and the disengagement pressure at 138 bar. If electric
    power is removed from the solenoid, the valve closes and the
    brakes apply.

    • Here is where we adjust the kick out pressure.

    • It’s only possible to adjust the kick out pressure but the
    kick in will follow approximetly 20% below the kick out
    pressure.

    § Dump and hoist valve


    The dump and hoist control valve is located in the torque converter /
    transmission compartment. The D&H control valve controls the flow
    of oil to the dump cylinders. This valve is operated by a lever in the
    operators compartment.

    • The control valve is equipped with a main relief valve to control


    the maximum dump system pressure. The main relief is set
    around 130 bar.

    • Load check valve allows pressure to build up to match load


    demand. When the system pressure matches the load pressure,
    the check valve opens porting hydraulic fluid to the cylinder.

    § Steering control valve


    The steering control valve is located in the power frame articulation
    area, opposite the hydraulic tank.

    • Combines the functions of the main steering valve and a cushion


    valve into one component. Uses pilot pressure to shift the main spool,
    which ports hydraulic system main pressure to the steering cylinders.

    • Valve consists of:

    - Main spool valve

    - Port relief valve

    - Main relief valve
