on hook), yarn over, draw through all loops on hook.

Dc3tog (double crochet 3 together) – [yarn over, insert hook into next st,
yarn over, draw up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops] 3 times (4 loops
on hook), yarn over, draw through all loops on hook.

Dc5tog (double crochet 5 together) – [yarn over, insert hook into next st,
yarn over, draw up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops] 5 times (6 loops
on hook), yarn over, draw through all loops on hook.

NOTES

Pattern is worked flat in back and forth rows – turn at the end of each row. There is not a
turning chain at the beginning of each row. The sc, ch 1, and dc2tog at the beginning of
each row imitates a decrease to match the dc3tog at the end of each row. This helps
keep the edges straight so that there isn’t extra bulk from a turning chain or a hole left
from skipping a stitch in traditional double crochet rows. To change color, use a magic
knot join to avoid weaving in any ends. Colors should be changed at random as you see
fit and color changes do not need to happen at the end of a row.
