CERAMOL* 258G/2
A water based coating
Product Description CERAMOL 258G/2 is a water based coating containing zirconium silicate base and other
special additions.

Benefits These special additions prevent the adherence of metal and slag to the crucible or ladle as far
as is possible. The effect of this is to increase the life of the crucible or ladle lining and help to
ensure a clean receptacle for the molten metal.

Application CERAMOL 258G/2 is ready for use but may be further diluted with water if required. It is
recommended to apply by swab or brush, to the receptacle having a temperature of less than
100°C, to ensure sufficient bonding of the coating to substrate. Repeated application to reach
a thicker coating layer is possible but not absolutely necessary.

Drying:
Before filling the receptacle with molten metal it should be guaranteed that the receptacle is
completely dry; otherwise risk of accidents exists.
