Q1-Lesson 2.3-Completing The Square
Good day my
dear Student!
MATH
Prayer
Lord, teach me to number my days
And graph them according to your
ways
Trusting to base me in your plan
To complement our perfect diagram
Subtract the points you don’t want
from me
But add the values you have set for me
Dividing the dividends accordingly
So I can multiply them systematically
Draw the lines I have to follow
Guide me properly with your arrow
Because sometimes I tend to be
irrational
Yet all the while you want to be
rational
Well I learned that life is like a slope
With its ascends and descends I must
scope
Teaching me the variables of life
Is just like solving problems all the time
Life is indeed an infinite equation
Perfected by your eternal computation
And I am only a miniscule projection
Give thanks and Praise to Almighty
creator. AMEN

Solving Quadratic
Equation by
Completing
the Square
I can I can
Solve Quadratic Solve Quadratic
Equations with 𝑎 = 1 by Equations with 𝑎 > 1 or
completing the Square 𝑎 < 1 by completing the
Square.
Steps:
01 Transform the Quadratic Equation
to the form 𝒂𝒙𝟐 + 𝒃𝒙 = 𝒄
𝑥+1 2 = 9
𝑥 + 1 = ±3
𝑥 + 1 = 3 ; 𝑥 + 1 = −3
𝑥 + 1 = 3 ; 𝑥 + 1 = −3
𝑥 =3−1
𝑥 = −3 − 1
𝒙 = 𝟐 ; 𝒙 = −𝟒
Example 5:
𝒙 = 𝟔 ; 𝒙 = −𝟐
