MULTIPLYING FRACTIONS AND
WHOLE NUMBER
TO MULTIPLY A FRACTION AND A
WHOLE NUMBER :
- rename the whole number as a
fraction with 1 as its denominator, then get
the product of the numerators over the
product of denominators .
- . Reduce the product to its lowest term
if needed .

MULTIPLYING MIXED NUMBER BY
ANOTHER MIXED NUMBER.
TO MULTIPLY TWO MIXED NUMBERS:
1. change the mixed number into an improper fraction.
(To get the new numerator, multiply the denominator by the
whole number and then add the numerator. Copy the
denominator)
2. Multiply the two improper fractions (both numerators and
denominators).
3. Reduce the answer to lowest term.
