II. Narrative Report / Executive Summary

According to Aristotle, “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We

do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those
because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not
an act but a habit.” This famous quote by Aristotle is about Excellence which is the topic
of the seminar that was conducted by Every Nation Campus. The event started with the
arrival and registration of the students who participated in this Life Class, Session 6,
entitled, “Excellence”. Followed by a quick energizer, a game with prizes led by Ms.
Femehlia L. Manoos to energize the participants. After the game, the host from Every
Nation Campus welcomed the students, the facilitators, as well as the professor who
took part in the event. Then a prayer followed and led by one of the ENC guests, Mark
Dela Cruz. After the prayer, the guest speaker, Ms. Mhelky Corong started with her
icebreaker and followed by her talk about “Excellence”. The participants listened very
well and participated when questions were asked. Followed by the group huddle which
was facilitated by the facilitators from the Group 6 - BSN 4B and by the facilitators from
Every Nation Campus - Marinduque. The students were given a question about
Excellence and answered the question through sharing and discussing their insights and
realizations with their group facilitators. After the alloted time for the group huddle, the
facilitators and the students wrapped up the event and had a group photo.

III. Accomplishment of Objectives

Six Life Class sessions were conducted by the Every Nation Campus -
Marinduque with the help of different group leaders all from the 4th year students of
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The life class, last session which is entitled, “Excellence”
was led by Ms. Genine Ritchel M. Sales, the group leader and together with her
proponents of Group 6 - BSN 4B Watson. The aim of the life class seminar about
Excellence is to teach the students about what Excellence is and how we can apply it in
our lives, especially as Nursing students. Overall, the objectives of the event and life talk
about Excellence by Ms. Mhelky Corong were accomplished successfully. The students
were able to listen and share their insights and reflections about the seminar and were
able to gain knowledge that they can apply in their lifestyle.

IV. Major Problems Encountered

There are a few problems that we have encountered during the seminar program
which are: last minute pull out of expected participants, finding replacement participants,
and slight delays.

V. Other Insights / Recommendations

Effective seminar conduct involves thorough planning, including defining clear

goals and ensuring clear communication of objectives and schedule. Evaluate whether
the timing and duration of the seminar are convenient for your audience. People may be
more likely to attend if it fits into their schedule. Collect feedback from past events to
identify any recurring issues or concerns raised by potential attendees. Addressing these
concerns can improve future attendance rates.
