IV. RATIONALE:
The Department of Education strengthens the implementation of
quality assured Learning Resource Materials. Quality assure the systems and
processes in the region and schools divisions in compliance with standards
and guidelines on: The establishment, operation, conversion, separation,
integration, accreditation and management of both public and private schools
and learning centers (LCs).

It is important to note that quality assurance is an important


complement to education research and knowledge. Quality assurance
mechanisms provide data on current performance and help to identify areas
of success as well as areas for system and school improvement. Learning
materials can significantly increase learners' achievement by supporting
learning. For example, an educational video may provide a learner with new
insights and an appealing worksheet may provide the learner with new
opportunities to practice a new skill gained in class.

For these, various Quality Assured materials were developed by CCESSC


Teachers for introduction and utilization.

V. OBJECTIVES :
This School-Based Training will enable the participants to:
1. Deepen their understanding about the guidelines in the development
of quuality assured materials
2. Identify the roles and responsibilities of teachers in the assessment of
learners as basis of the development of the resources
3. Use the introduced learning materials for utilization
