DATE: APRIL 1, 2024
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard The learners demonstrate an understanding on projectile motion, impulse and momentum,
and conservation of linear momentum.
B. Performance Standards Propose ways to enhance sports related to projectile motion.
C. Learning Describe the horizontal and vertical motions of a projectile. (S9FE-IVa-34)
Competencies/Objectives
(Write the LC code for each)
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
1. define uniformly accelerated motion operationally;
D. Objectives 2. cite examples of bodies that exhibit uniformly accelerated motion; and
3. value the importance of following and observing speed limits on the roads.
II. CONTENT Uniformly Accelerated Motion
III. LEARNING REFERENCES Science 9 books
A. References

c. Checking of attendance

ENGAGE
Psycho social Activity!
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Perform a starter activity (Psychosocial)
presenting the new lesson

B. Establishing a purpose for How do you feel today?

the lesson The learners shall be asked about how they feel and imitate the emoticon on the
Emotion Chart.
Each leaner shall be asked to share their emotion to the class.

C. Presenting REVIEW OF THE PREVIOUS CONCEPT:

examples/instances of the new “State the Second Law of Motion by completing the paragraph below.
lesson The Law of (Acceleration/Inertia)
The accceleration of an object as produce by a net force is (directly/inversely)
proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the (same/opposite) direction as the
net force, and (directly/inversely) proportional to the (mass/weight) of the object.”

Teacher will present to the class the learning competency and objectives.
EXPLORE Let’s Go Speed!
D. Discussing of the new concepts
and practicing new skills # Assume that you are riding a vehicle and observed these speedometer readings:

E. Discussing of the new concepts Guide Questions!

and practicing new skills #2 1. What can you say about the readings on the speedometer?
2. What can you observe from the data in the table?

EXPLAIN Power Point Presentation

Teacher’s time. The teacher will check and correct the output of the learners
F. Developing mastery (Leads to through PowerPoint presentation (PPT).
formative assessment)  Introduce UAM
 Explain Uniformly Accelerated Motion

ELABORATE Individual Activity! “Am I in UAM (Uniformly Accelerated Motion)?”

Analyze each scenario. Write UAM if it exhibits Uniformly Accelerated Motion, write not-UAM
G. Finding practical if it DOES NOT.

“UAM (Uniformly Accelerated Motion) Comic Strip”

H. Making generalization and Cite objects or situations showing uniformly accelerated motion.
abstraction Procedure:
1. Construct a comic strip about uniformly accelerated motion on a bond paper. The
comic strip should be composed of at least six frames.
2. The setting of your comic strip must show a scenario or a situation exhibiting uniformly
accelerated motion.
3. Set the scene as if the characters are having a conversation describing uniformly
accelerated motion based on the scenario or situation. The comic strip will be evaluated
based on this scoring rubric:
Directions: Read each question carefully and choose the letter of the correct answer. Write
EVALUATE your answer in your quiz notebook.
