Lesson Description: This lecture will present to the student the course description to give
insight on the general direction, format and guidelines of the course

FUNDAMENTALS OF REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is an introductory set of lessons for the whole program. It will give guidance to the students about
the BS REM degree, its opportunities and mandates. The course will give an overview of the real estate
industry practice in the Philippines. The lessons will enhance and give a foundation knowledge as the
students navigate their current status quo and will give a good take off point for the succeeding courses.

The Local real estate market conditions, legal requirements, and other factors that influence the real estate
industry will be discussed. The competencies, career outlook and basic knowledge of real estate will also
be taken up in the lessons.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Provide an overview about the BS REM Program and its competence


• Know the career opportunities in the in the real estate industry
• Be aware of the current market conditions of the industry
• Know the opportunities, development and history of BS REM
• Be introduced to common real estate terms

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Demonstrate a working knowledge about the real estate industry


• Learn about the BS REM Program
• Identify and apply the knowledge on the career opportunities available to the student to
target skills development
• Interpret the current market conditions to the practice
• Create a plan to integrate, organize and digest the learning as it will apply In the REBLEX

Notes:
§ Examinations - two (2) per semester – midterm and final exams
§ Attendance is expected but if you are not able to catch the lecture, the recordings are available in
the goggle classroom
§ All synchronous class are held on zoom
§ All asynchronous assignments for submission are due at the end of the cycle and should be
uploaded in the goggle classroom
§ Remember that we can’t give you a grade if you miss any of the 2 exams and the 2 asynch
assignments for submission
§ Non submission of the exams and the assignments by the end of the cycle will earn a grad of “in
progress” . a validation exam to complete will earn a grade of “3”
