Opening Ceremony
The gavel sounded, Ryan Model United Nations conference was
back with its 6th Edition. Opening of the event served as a unique
introduction to the event's character, by rejoicing in prayer and a
short address by the MUN club President, Aryaman Singh
Shekhawat, the delegates got a fix of what was about to come.
This time the RIS-MUN conference was with
a new edition to the normal format, the introduction of the All
India Political Parties Meet as a new committee; an MUN take on
the Indian Lok Sabha. The conference commenced with the
opening pledge followed by a huge round of applause.
As the delegates moved towards their committee rooms they were
armed with research and motivation to win.

It becomes tricky if a resolution seems solid but you have a primal urge to oppose it. In
that case, you can do the following:
3) Ad hominem: Attack the authority or intentions of the delegates . All you need to
do is scream SHAME and accuse them of green imperialism.
4) Look for instances that reflect ignorance, double standards, hypocrisy or
self-contradiction. Get up, adjust your tie and point out that the delegation's
arguments are as fragile as their economy. It works every time.
These techniques should prepare you for the cut throat
environment of a RISMUN committee. Do use them wisely
and don't bother addressing the real, underlying problem.
That's unimportant. (being sarcastic)
