B.- Emergencies Procedures

1.- ENGINE START ABORT

APPROPRIATE CONDITION LEVER FUEL SHUT OFF


APPROPRIATE IGNITION OFF
Allow engine to motor as long as possible (15 sec. Minimum, observe starter limits) to provide
cooling air and remove fuel vapors.

START SELECT OFF


After engine rotation stops allow 30 sec. for fuel to drain
Return ignition to normal prior to next start attempt

2.- ENGINE FIRE ON GROUND

STOP A/C SET PARKING BRAKE


ALL POWER LEVERS FLIGHT IDLE
ALL CONDITION LEVERS FUEL SHUT OFF

a. If During Start, Pull Out Start Button

APPROPRIATE T HANDLE PULL


EXTINGUISH SWITCH FWD/AFT BOTTLE
ADVISE ATC FIRST OFFICER
ADVISE FLIGHT ATTENDANT CAPTAIN
EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON

7.- LOW OIL PRESSURE

Oil pressure has fallen to 75 PSI or below. Confirm low pressure on gauge; if low oil pressure is
confirmed perform the IN FLIGHT SHUTDOWN check list. Or if required, use minimal power on the
engine to sustain flight and land as soon as possible.

8.- FCU FAILURE OR ENGINE OVERSPEED (NG)

a. If The Jam Occurs Immediately After Take Off, Do Not Change Flap Angle

b. Maintain Airspeed And Flap Setting


BOTH PILOTS ATTEMPT TO BREAK THE JAM.
IF JAM STILL EXISTS, RELAX CONTROL COLUMN FORCE MOMENTARILY, PULL
PITCH DISCONNECT T HANDLE AND ROTATE 90º.
PILOT WITH FREE CONTROL COLUMN FLIES THE AIRCRAFT.

16.- ROLL AXIS JAM OR MALFUNCTION

PILOT FLYING CALL “ROLL JAM”
BOTH PILOTS ATTEMPT TO BREAK THE JAM
IF JAM STILL EXISTS, RELAX CONTROL COLUMN FORCE MOMENTARILY, PULL
ROLL DISCONNECT T HANDLE AND ROTATE 90º
PILOT WITH UNJAMMED WHEEL HAS CONTROL

17.- AILERON TRIM TAB RUNAWAY

CONTROL WHEEL APPLY OPPOSITE PRESSURE

a. Wheel Force May Be Relieved By Reducing The Airspeed


AILERON TRIM REVERSE

b. If Trim Will Reverse As Trim Tab Reach Neutral
