1.1. Business History

(Our business will be located at 810 Nicanor Reyes St. Manila)

The business journey stems from our college coursework and early experiences,

where we cultivated expertise in pastries and mocktails. Leveraging our prior

knowledge and skills acquired during our first year and the first semester of our

second year, we decided to specialize in these areas. With a solid understanding

of creating cocktails and mocktails, we envisioned a business venture that would

seamlessly incorporate our talents without hassle. Thus, 'Summer Thirst Trap'

was born, a name inspired by the scorching summer heat and Filipinos' penchant

for refreshing beverages and delectable sweets. With our background, we are

confident in our ability to operate smoothly and steer our business towards

success.

1.2.1 Mission

to provide a unique and inclusive social experience by pairing delicious and

inventive non-alcoholic beverages with freshly made, complementary cookies. We

provide high-quality ingredients and great service to guarantee that each

customer has a memorable experience.

Our goal is to become the top destination for non-alcoholic beverages, known

for our innovation, quality, and customer service. We want to create new norms in

the beverage business by providing healthy and pleasurable options, which are

complemented by our delectable cookies.

exceptional quality and distinctive taste combination of cookies and

Summer Thirst & Bites provides a combination of a mocktail and cookies. Cookies

will become complementary for the mocktail. It enhance your drinking experience

with our mocktails, which include a delightful combination of mocktails and

cookies to surprise your visitors.

1.4 Current Status

Introducing "Summer Thirst & Bites," is a corporation founded by Crhizzy Sam

Cecilio, Ryan Kiel Flores, Mathew Joshua Magalinao, Denice Batario, Ivy Librias

and Chester Reyes. This young six entrepreneur will have the total amount

capital of ₱600,000 and will share equally but have different return of investment,

these entrepreneurs will contribute their expertise, each holding significant shares

in the venture, ensuring a harmonious blend of talents and dedication.

The business has a target location and it is in the University Belt in Manila.

Summer Thirst Trap will offer their service in a residence area, near schools or

such surrounding areas.

1.5 Legal Status and Ownership

"Summer Thirst & Bites," is a corporation owned by Crhizzy Sam Cecilio, Ryan

Kiel Flores, Mathew Joshua Magalinao, Denice Batario, Ivy Librias and

Chester Reyes. These six young business entrepreneurs will have the total

amount of ₱600,000 and will share different shares individually, the shares will be

20% owned by Cecilio, 18% for Librias, 17% for Flores, 17% for Magalinao, 15%

for Batario and 13% for Reyes. These owners have equal investment in the

company

CHAPTER II

EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT

2.1 The Economy

According to the Department of Finance (DOF), the Philippines finished strong

in 2023, with a full-year GDP growth rate of 5.6%, beating major Asian nations

such as China, (5.2%), Vietnam (5.0%), and Malaysia (3.8%). GDP is the total

worth of all products and services generated inside the country over a certain

period. It is a key indicator used by economists and policymakers to analyse a

country’s economic size and health, as well as to compare economic performance

between countries. The Philippines’ GDP growth in 2023 not only outperformed its

neighbouring countries, but also exceeded or matched the projections of

international organizations and private analysts, including the international

Monetary Fund (IMF), the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO),

and the World Bank.

THE MARKET

3.1 Target Market

Our business focuses on providing a delightful experience through mocktails

and complementary cookies, catering to millennials, Gen Z, young adults,

students, and families with children. Our aim is to serve our products to

customers, allowing them to savor the satisfaction they bring. Our primary target

market comprises students and young adults, a demographic known for their

interest in refreshing beverages and seeking non-alcoholic alternatives to

cocktails. Central to this audience is an appreciation for the simplicity of our

offerings – refreshing Mocktail and cookies. While motivations may vary, they

share a common desire for taste and variety without alcohol. With this niche in

mind, Summer Thirst & Bites aims to fulfill the demand for sophisticated

alternatives to conventional summer refreshments.

3.3 Marketing Strategy

Use popular social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook to

promote our cookies and mocktails. To entice people to try our cookies and

mocktails, set up tastings, sampling events, or pop-up stores in high-traffic venues

like malls or food festivals. We will highlight our best-selling products, such as

citrus mocktails and four seasons.

3.4 Price Strategy

Setting the price to its value and ensuring the consumer is receiving the

price is reasonable for high quality products. We will highlight our high margin or

combination to encourage upselling and increase the average order values and

also provide seasonal promotions and discounts. Our product will be valued for

125.00 with cookies. The price will be different based on flavour.

3.5 Promotional Mix

For the promotional mix of Summer Thirst & Bites, we'll implement enticing

limited-time offers such as 'buy one, take one' deals or discounts on specific items

or combo meals. Additionally, we'll introduce a loyalty program where customers

earn points with every purchase, redeemable for discounts or freebies upon

reaching specific milestones. To further expand our customer base, we'll establish

a referral program rewarding existing customers for bringing in new patrons,

offering discounts as incentives. Alongside these strategies, we'll distribute flyers

to increase visibility and educate our staff on delivering exceptional customer

experience.

Ms. Crhizzy Sam S. Cecilio (CEO), She is responsible for ensuring that the

company runs smoothly and that the employees are happy and engaged while

providing the best output.

Ms. Ivy Renabelle Librias (Financial Controller), She will provide leadership

with accurate and timely financial and related statistical and unit information

required to effectively manage the department or function and consolidations,

budgeting, general accounting, cost accounting and financial reporting.

Ms. Denice Joy Batario (Head Chef Baker), She is responsible for duties of a

Pastry Chef preparing of desserts, creating new recipes, decorating pastries,

managing ingredient stocks, maintaining equipment, guiding staff, and ensuring

compliance with health and safety standards.

Mr. Chester Mike Reyes (Marketing Director), He is responsible for developing

and implementing marketing communications strategy, as well as branding

activity with the company, develop communication strategies with the objective of

increasing brand awareness among the business’s target audience and to help

increase market share.

Mr. Ryan Kiel Flores (Head of Product Development/Beverage Specialist),

He is responsible for ensuring the customer is considered at each stage of the

development process and oversee the product experience from start to finish. The

process will require excellent cross functional communication, collaboration, and

leadership skills and He is responsible for creating innovative beverages to attract

customers.

Mr. Mathew Joshua Magalinao (Operations Manager), He is responsible for

ensuring that all operations within the organization are conducted effectively and

efficiently and oversee day to day activities to enhance profitability and streamline

workflows. He is responsible and duties to ensure smooth operations and

contribute to the overall success of the organization.

4.4 Business location

The premises will be located at 810 Nicanor Reyes St. Manila, close to

the FEU high school, Claro M. Recto Avenue, Lerma St, at Quezon Blvd. The

location is accessible for visitors, especially for students, by walking and crossing

since it is near the school. This is not only for students in FEU but also for

students in the vicinity of Nicanor Reyes St. which is easily accessible within a

10-minute walk from either Summer Thirst & Bites.

4.5 Facilities and equipment

Summer Thirst & Bites wants to establish a large regular customer base, and

will therefore concentrate its business and marketing on local residents, which

will be the dominant target market. This will be establish a healthy, consistent

revenue base to ensure the stability of the business. Summer Thirst & Bites also

provide restrooms for both customers and staff.

Risk like every business, there is the possibility of not making enough money

to cover expenses or incurring unexpected charges.

Seasonal challenge Sales may vary depending on the season or time of the

year. For example, demand for mocktails may increase throughout the warmer

months of the year.

Competition Risk The food and beverage industry is highly competitive, making

it challenging to distinguish your brand from other firms.
