ABOUT SGT UNIVERSITY & THE FACULTY OF BEHAVIOURAL and SOCIAL SCIENCES
Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University (SGTU), Gurugram is one of the best private
Universities in Delhi-NCR. It has a noble mission of providing opportunities for higher education to
all sections of society. The University over time has carved a reputation in the academic world by
providing a steady stream of highly trained and industry-ready professionals.
The University is part of the Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, founded in 1999. The
University is UGC approved and has the necessary approvals from Haryana Government Private
Universities Act (Amendment Act No. 8, 2013) and regulatory approvals from key government
bodies. SGT University offers more than 170 courses including undergraduate, postgraduate and
Ph.D. programs in 18 Faculties. SGT University has received several awards including the Diamond
rating from the QS-IGAUGE ranking.
To provide global exposure, SGT University has tied up with several reputed foreign universities like
the University of Queensland, Australia; Harper Adams University, UK; Academy of Art, Sofia,
Bulgaria; University of California-Berkley, USA; National University of Singapore, and many more.
The Faculty of Behavioural Sciences (FBS) a prime faculty of SGTU was formally established as an
independent entity in 2014. It offers UGC-approved UG, PG, Ph.D. programs and RCI governed
Professional Diploma and M.Phil courses in Clinical Psychology under the Department of Clinical
Psychology. The focus is on participatory, experiential, discursive and student-centric practices in
its teaching-learning endeavours. More than 50 scholars are currently pursuing research in the
contemporary areas of clinical, social and positive psychology, under the guidance of highly
experienced faculty members. Professionally trained clinical psychologists, OPD/IPD facilities,
state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, psychiatric services, and the latest infrastructure helps in rendering
mental health services to the students and community at large.

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is currently ranked 176-200 for social sciences and 126-150th
for education in the 2021 by Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subjects and
151-200 for education and training in the QS World University Rankings 2021. This shows Faculty
of Social Sciences & Humanities (FSSH) UTM at a relatively leading position in the field of social
sciences and education to lead faculties and universities in Asia.

innovative curriculum that blends theory with practice, evidenced by the use of case studies such as
the Harvard Business School Case and MonSoonSim Business Simulation Software as teaching
materials and Problem-based Learning as pedagogical approach. Faculty members at the FSSH take
special interest in helping students to achieve the highest level. Our faculty members are dedicated
to pursuing excellence in their teaching, research and consultancy in the areas of human resource
development, management, education, and language related disciplines. The faculty has
collaborative research and consultancy with key stakeholders; from various sectors including the
business sector, the government sector, the NGOs and the local communities, that enable them to
understand and provide solutions to their challenges.

mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions are deeply intertwined. It embraces the notion that
optimal health arises from nurturing these interconnected realms in harmony. Beyond treating
symptoms, it seeks to address root causes and promote balance across all facets of life. By
integrating practices such as nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, and spiritual connection, holistic
health offers a comprehensive approach to fostering vitality and wholeness. In its exploration of
interconnected realms of well-being, it invites us to cultivate a deeper understanding of ourselves
and our place within the greater web of existence.
This event aims to inspire, educate, and empower individuals to cultivate a balanced and fulfilling
life.

The overarching theme of the conference is holistic wellness, emphasizing the integration of
physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Recognizing that true wellness encompasses all
these dimensions, the conference will explore various practices, philosophies, and methodologies
that contribute to a harmonious and vibrant existence.

The Organizing Committee of HHERW2024 invites scholars, practitioners and researchers from
Social and Behavioral Sciences as well as related fields to contribute high quality empirical and
conceptual papers for oral paper and e-poster presentation. Papers closely related to the theme and
sub-themes will be preferred.

Full papers would be reviewed for the second issue of the Journal of Contemporary Behavioural &
Social Research (JCBSR) – the official journal of the FBSS published by Medknow Kluwer.
