SURVEYS
In compliance with instructions the Acting Certified Marine Surveyor to this Bureau did at
the request of Messrs. “Agencia Marítima Marítima Heinlein” attend onboard the Hong
Kong flag motor vessel named
“G. PION”
of 16.960 gross register tons on 10th February 2009, whilst lying afloat and safely berthed at
Montevideo – / Uruguay to carry out an “Off Hire Bunker / Fore Track / Re Delivery
Survey”, taking soundings of all Certified Bunker Tanks, calculating the amount of
remaining quantities of Intermediate Fuel Oil High Sulphur & Marine Gas Oil Low Sulphur,
upon attendance and when the vessel became Off-Hire” upon Dropping Outward Pilot at
Common Zone, River Plate Waters, ARGENTINA. on February 11 th 2009 at 01:00
hours local time or on February 11th 2009 at 04:00 hours GMT.

As per Bunker Survey carried out on board at Sitio Nº 10 - Puerto de Dock Dud – Provincia
de Buenos Aires / ARGENTINA on 10th February 2009 at 16:00 hours local time or on 10 th
February 2009 at 19:00 hours GMT, effected by vessel’s Chief Engineer together with the
Acting Surveyor as follows:
As a result of above detailed calculations, it has been established and agreed that upon
our attendance on 10 th February 2009 at 16:00 hours local time or on 10 th February 2009 at
19:00 hours GMT, there were on board :
Intermediate Fuel Oil HS: 731,091 MT. Marine Gas Oil LS: 52,182 MT
Consumption
Further on, Engine Log Book was thoroughly examined and allowances were made for
consumption at pier during discharging operations, un-berthing manoeuvres and whilst
anchored for bunkering as follows:

On the basis of the above survey and taking into account the estimated consumptions at
pier during discharging operations, un-berthing manoeuvres and the corresponding
passages thru the channels before the pilot disembark, it was agreed with vessel’s Master in
first instance that the “M/V GENCO CHAMPION” was RE-DELIVERED by her Time
Charterers Messrs. “LYRA NAVEGACAO LTDA. RIO DE JANEIRO.” to her Owners /
Disponent Owners Messrs. “PACIFIC BASIN HANDYSIZE LTD”, upon Dropping Outward
Pilot at Common Zone, River Plate waters’, ARGENTINA., on February 11th 2009 at
12:00 hours local time or on February 11 th 2009 at 15:00 hours GMT., with the following
bunkers remaining on board:
Intermediate Fuel Oil H.S.: 725,871 MT. Marine Gas Oil L.S.: 52,182 MT.
