    All Applicants for Admission into the Postgraduate Programs (M.Sc./M. Engg.) in Electrical and
    Electronic Engineering (EEE) are hereby informed that the admission procedure will be held according
    to the following schedule:

    Major Division (Area) Selection

    Candidates will be asked to select a Major Area (1st Choice, 2nd Choice, 3rd Choice) for their MSc./M.Engg
    during the examination. Course selection (Courses | Department of EEE, BUET), supervisor selection is directly
    related to major area, so candidates are advised to make informed decisions regarding their major area.

    Admission Test
    All candidates need to sit for an 1-hour long written admission for consideration into the program.
    The admission test will include the following subject areas. Twenty (20) short questions/problems
    will be set from the subject areas and the candidates are required to work out/solve those questions
    (NO MCQ). Each question will carry 5 (five) marks. The syllabus for the subjects is from the
    2023 Undergraduate Curriculum of the Department of EEE, BUET, available in the Department website
