    Description:
    A high quality fire proofing intumescent coating, high solid acrylic solvent based paint, provides cellulosic fire protection up to 2 hours for
    steel surfaces.
    Recommended Use:
    Recommended to use for structural steelworks like beams, columns and hollow sections by protecting from cellulosic fires.

    Characteristics:
    • Provides safety for lives & properties.
    • Cellulosic fire protection up to 2 hours for structural steel constructions.
    • Excellent flame spread resistance.
    • Fast drying & rapid recoatable.
    • Suitable for application in the ready steel fabrication.
    • High resistance to impact and abrasion.

    Certificates:
    • The product has been approved by the Saudi Civil Defense.
    • Tested and certified by (ECI) Exova Warringtonfire in accordance with BS 476:Part 21 1987.
    • Classified as class1 of flame spread resistance according to ASTM E84 (Exova).

    Physical Constants:
    • Finish: Matt
    • Color: White.
    • Volume Solid: 75% (ASTM D2697)
    • Viscosity: 50 poise @ 31°C (ASTM D562)
    • Specific Gravity: 1.37 @ 25°C (ASTM D1475)
    • TheoreticalSpreading Rate: 1 m²/ltr @ 750 µm DFT.

    • VOC Emission After Application Pass LEED Requirements - Ver.4 METS, UAE
    • Flame Spread Resistance: Class1 ASTM E84 Exova Warringtonfire
    • Abrasion Resistance: Pass ASTM D4060-10 Wimpey Laboratory - U.A.E.
    • Impact Resistance: Pass ASTM D2794 Wimpey Laboratory - U.A.E.
    • Hardness 78±2 Shore D ASTM D2240 SASO

    Surface Preparation:
    PRE-CLEANING:
    • Remove all visible surface deposits such as grease, oils and soils with suitable detergent. Remove salt and other contaminants by
    washing using high pressure fresh water.
    • Where necessary, work to remedy or alleviate design or fabrication defects such as weld spatter, and where required smooth weld
    seams and sharp edges before abrasive blasting.
    NEW STEEL:
    • Refer to pre-cleaning, the surface must be prepared according to Sa 2½ (NACE No.2/SSPC-SP 10) or Sa 2 (NACE No. 3/SSPC-SP 6) .

    Application Condition:
    • Temperature during application should be more than (5°C).
    • Surface temperature: at least (3°C) above dew point.
    • Relative humidity: maximum 85%.

    Painting System:
    • Primers: Jazeera Epoxy Zinc Phosphate Primer.
    • Topcoats: Jazeera Firedamp 263.
    For protection & colored appearance apply: “Jazeera Firedamp 275” as a topcoat.

    Up to 400 microns (WFT) can be achieved in single coat.
    (Multiple coats may be required to achieve the specified thickness).
    Notes:
    • Conventional spray is not recommended to apply this product.
    • Always mix the product thoroughly with a power agitator before application.
    "Jazeera Firedamp 263" should be applied by trained industrial paint applicators only

    Drying Time and Recoating:


    Drying times are generally related to air circulation, temperature, film thickness and number of coats, and will be affected correspondingly.

    Relative humidity 50%
    Surface dry 30 minutes
    Hard dry 16 hours
    Dry to recoat, minimum 4 hours
    Dry to recoat, maximum* Extended
    Full cure 7 days.

    Note: All records given in the table are typical at: recommended film thickness, good ventilation and one coat system.
    *The surface should be dry and clean prior to application. The best time to recoat is before previous coat is cured. If this time is exceeded,
    the surface may need to be roughened slightly.

    Limitations:
    * Finish depends on the method of application. For aesthetic look, surface must be prepared once again before applying topcoat.
    * Jazeera Firedamp 263 should be protected from water immersion or running water.

    Packing:
    Drum : 18 Ltr .

    Shelf Life & Storage:


    • Shelf life : 24 months @ 25 °C.
    • Storage: The container should be kept in sealed, dry, cool, well ventilated place and stored in accordance with national regulations.

    Handling and Safety:


    • Clean up: Use "Jazeera Thinner 507" for tools cleaning and in case of spillage, absorb and dispose.

    • Handling: Handle with care. Stir very well before use.

    • Health and safety:Please read and follow the precautionary notices displayed on the container, and all caution statements on the MSDS
    of this product.During application of paint, contact of liquid paint with eyes, skin, inhalation of paint mist and paint vapor should be strongly
    avoided.For spray application systems; applicator should wear protective clothing, gloves, also eye, skin and respiratory protection are
    always recommended Keep away from reach of children.

    • Ventilation: When used in enclosed areas, thoroughair circulation must be used during and afterapplication until the coating is cured. In
    addition, respirators must be used by all applicator.

    • Caution: This product contains flammable solvents, keep away from sparks and open flame. For information on LEL and TLV, please read
    the MSDS.

    • Environmental safety: Please donate the leftover paint and packaging to your local authorized institution for usage or recycling purpose.

    • Note: Wastes and empty containers should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations made under the Control of Pollution Act
    and the Environmental Protection Act.
