A. Recall/Review The teacher will begin the lesson by engaging students in a brief
discussion about the importance of textual aids in understanding a text.
Ask questions such as:

 What are textual aids?


 Can you provide examples of textual aids?
 How do textual aids enhance our understanding of a text?
B. Motivation (Activity) Engage students with a thought-provoking question: "Why do you think
authors use textual aids such as headings, illustrations, and advance
organizers in their texts?"

Allow students to share their thoughts in pairs or small groups.


Have a brief class discussion to explore their responses and highlight the
importance of textual aids in enhancing comprehension.
