ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION :
Arise is a pioneering force for the next generation,
igniting social change by harnessing youth potential,
embracing innovative concepts, and fostering a
robust volunteer network. Led by dynamic
individuals with diverse expertise, Arise champions
individual expression and creativity, offering a
platform for impactful initiatives tailored to
contemporary social needs. Our volunteers benefit
from a range of activities, including camps, lectures,
and campaigns, while receiving essential skill
development opportunities. With a focus on
multidisciplinary problem-solving, Arise stands as a

ABOUT THE PROGRAM :
This is a transformative internship program designed to
empower young leaders and advocates in the social
sector. Through a dynamic curriculum spanning one year
and divided into six immersive phases, interns delve into
hands-on projects, receive personalized mentorship, and
engage in a wide range of learning experiences aimed at
fostering personal and professional growth. From
project-based learning and mentorship to workshops,
field visits, and community engagement events, Arise
offers a comprehensive journey where interns gain
practical skills, expand their understanding of social
issues, and become catalysts for positive change in their
communities and beyond.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU :

PROJECT-BASED LEARNING:
Design the internship around hands-on projects where interns
collaborate to identify, plan, and implement advocacy initiatives
addressing local or global social issues.

MENTORSHIP AND GUIDANCE :

Pair interns with experienced mentors who provide guidance,
feedback, and support throughout their advocacy projects, fostering
a culture of learning and growth.

WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING SESSIONS:

Organize workshops and training sessions on topics such as advocacy
strategies, public speaking, policy analysis, and community organizing,
allowing interns to learn from experts and peers.

FIELD VISITS AND IMMERSIONS:

Arrange field visits and immersions to communities, grassroots
organizations, and government agencies to provide interns with
firsthand exposure to social issues and advocacy efforts.

ACTION RESEARCH AND DATA COLLECTION

Encourage interns to conduct action research and data collection
activities to inform their advocacy projects, empowering them to
use evidence-based approaches to address social challenges.

REFLECTION AND JOURNALING

Incorporate regular reflection sessions and journaling exercises
where interns can critically reflect on their experiences, insights, and
personal growth throughout the internship.

PEER LEARNING CIRCLES

Facilitate peer learning circles or discussion groups where interns can
share their learnings, challenges, and best practices, promoting mutual
support and knowledge exchange.

DIGITAL PLATFORMS AND TOOLS

Utilize digital platforms and tools for communication, collaboration,
and advocacy, enabling interns to leverage technology for social
change and amplify their voices online

The Internship is a mix of both Online or Offline commitments, your
internship location is your choice for us "It’s Not About Your Location,
It’s About the Difference You Make!"

DURATION
The total duration of internship is *one year* and it is divided into five
distinct phases that is Dharshan, Ekta, Arohanan, jalak and Anantha.

Intrested candidates can submit their applications online through the

any ), and a statement of interest outlining why you are interested in
the internship and what skills or qualities you can bring to the program

ONE ON ONE CALL :

After reviewing applications, all candidates are invited to participate
in a one-on-one call with a member of our team. During this call, the
team member conducts an informal interview to better understand
about your motivations, interests, and skills. This conversation also
serves as an opportunity for you to ask questions about the internship
and learn more about your organization.

MSW SCHOLAR @ TISS
I, Ciba C. Babu, from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, am a
dedicated social volunteer and a social work graduate
from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. My journey in
volunteering began in 2018, collaborating with various
NGOs and participating in numerous programs.

My involvement with Arise started through the pilot

Communication Internship in 2020, where I was
responsible for overseeing volunteer chapters in
Malappuram and Thiruvananthapuram. This role allowed
me to connect with many individuals, understand their
aspirations to improve society, and transform their ideas
into actionable projects. In the following year, I became
the internship mentor for six districts, which honed my
leadership skills.

My contributions to various programs at Arise increased

my visibility within the organization, eventually leading
to my role as Chief Development Officer. In this position,
I collaborated with the core team to expand the
organization's initiatives. Overall, my experience with
Arise has significantly contributed to my personal and
professional development, offering me various roles such
as facilitator, leader, and coordinator.

I'm Rinshiba, completed my year-long internship at Arise
Organization was an amazing experience that profoundly
shaped my personal and professional growth. Working
with a team of diverse and talented individuals, I gained
invaluable insights and skills that have had a lasting
impact on me.

One of the most enlightening aspects of my internship

was understanding the values and community impact of
Arise. The organization's dedication to making a
difference is truly inspiring, and being a part of this

focused work.

Throughout my time at Arise, I learned how to effectively

coordinate programs, manage projects, and work
collaboratively towards common goals. These

Inspired by my time at Arise, I went on to establish

Im Dilshad,During my time as an intern with Arise, I had
the unique opportunity to immerse myself in a process of
service and learning. The commitment of the whole
program in fostering personal growth and skill
development is transformative.

We learnt the importance of learning to unlearn and

being open to new experiences.The skills and insights I
gained have been invaluable, and the memories of
working alongside passionate individuals will stay with
me forever.

I am grateful for the mentorship and friendships I have

earned throughout the journey.with the support of a
great team I was able to organise a project named
BlueBelt, a sustainable beach beautification program by
gathering dedicated volunteers and artists in Falcon
Beach, Ernakulam.

My time as an intern in Arise was an enriching experience
that allowed me to connect with those who around me
and contribute to my society meaningfully. I am filled
with gratitude for the profound impact this experience

make a real difference have been incredibly
rewarding.The mentorship provided and the friendships
forged have been invaluable. The most important lesson I
have learnt is the true value of compassion, collaboration

mentoring that I've been able to foster a community
named Jalakam where the love for literature creates
