    Participate in the discussion forum:

    1. How do you envision Bicol University 20 years from now?

    2 decades from now, I envision Bicol University as an academic


    institution that is flourishing and committed deeply to giving
    scholarships, character, leadership, and service to students around the
    world. I can see modernized campuses of BU 20 years from now,
    equipped with cutting-edge workshops, libraries not only physical but
    modernized online libraries to its best, LMS that caters to state-of-the-art
    learning remotely given to students, and learning spaces that are student
    and teacher-friendly. In terms of research extension, Bicol University will
    be addressing not only regional and national challenges but global ones
    as well. Collaboration with international universities continuously
    promotes cross-cultural exchange reinforcing its academic programs.
    Environmental consciousness integration into its curriculum shall
    continuously be integrated into its operations. Lastly, BU will continue to
    produce empowered graduates.

    2. What significant roles do graduates of MA in Social Studies


    Education play in our society?

    MA graduates in Social Studies Education will serve as educators.


    Imparting historical, cultural, and civic knowledge in shaping young
    minds for the future. Will serve not only to teach young minds but to
    motivate them also to learn and apply all the learnings they develop.
    Shall be adaptive to the challenges of the contemporary world that
    encompass modernity. Design an engaging social studies curriculum
    fostering active citizenship and critical thinking in students. An advocate
    of inclusive education promoting human rights, equity, and diversity to
    the Philippine society.

    3. As a student how can you contribute to the attainment of the


    mission and vision of Bicol University?

    As a student, I can contribute to the attainment of the mission and vision


    of Bicol University by actively participating in academic and extra-
    curricular activities in line with BU’s mission and vision. Lead students
    across our place of work as an educator who promotes not only my
    employer’s core values but also Bicol University’s core values.
    Participation in or joining outreach programs, environmental programs,
    and local community projects in our communities demonstrates my
    commitment to Bicol University’s mission.

    4. As a student how can you help in upholding the university’s


    quality policy?

    As a student at Bicol University, I can help uphold the university’s quality


    policy by upholding academic integrity that adheres to BU’s standards
    and always upholds ethical conduct that will promote excellence in
    instruction and research extension.

    5. What are the distinguishing traits of a BU scholar and a BU


    graduate?

    BU scholar exhibits a genuine hunger for knowledge and constantly find


    ways to expand every possibility, while a BU graduate is well-prepared
    and equipped with hard-earned knowledge to be in their chosen fields
    and are ready to exercise or apply their practical skills and knowledge.
