A. Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of the integration of
social perspective and community action initiatives
B. Standard Performance: The learners shall be able to synthesize the integrative experience
of implementing community-action initiatives applying social
C.Learning Competencies At the end of the lesson, 80% of the learners will be able to:

IV. PROCEDURES:
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Aug. 2-9. Present the objective of the lesson followed by an
presenting the new lesson Activity/Game
called “Community Quest: Building Bonds of Solidarity”
Ask the students what the word community dynamics is all about.
Write the word community on the board.Ask the students to share
example/s they can think of. (Then begin with a brief discussion of
community action.) Then ask the students to share any example.
B. Establishing a purpose of the lesson  Objective of the game is to help the students understand the
concepts of community engagements, solidarity, and citizenship
by actively participating in various challenges that promote
cooperation, empathy, and civic responsibility.
 Explain to the students the main objective of the lesson:
Understand why community action is important in their future
career.
C. Presenting examples/instances  The game encourages students to:

 Show pictures of different communities like: urban, rural,
neighborhood, slums, business, global, suburbs, caste

2. When a player runs on a location, the game moderator draws a
game card from the deck and reads the challenge or question aloud.
3. The player must then complete the challenge or answer the
question. If the challenge involves a real-word activity, players can
discuss hypothetical solutions as a group.
4. Use a timer to add element of excitement to each turn.
5. The rest of the players can engage in a short discussion after the
challenge is completed, sharing their thoughts and perspectives on
the topic. (The timer used during challenges helps students practice
time management skills (WATCH), promoting efficient decision-
making.
 After showing the pictures on the different types of
communities, the teacher discusses the importance of
communities which includes:
1. Exploring cultural heritage and traditions fostering awareness of
diversity; (it enhances their psycho-social skills.)
2. Engaging in class discussions and partner conversations,
encourages students to actively listen to their peers’ contributions of
ideas.
(it will develop their thinking skills.)
 Ask the students, what is the importance of community action?
 Discuss the 3-key points in grasping the definition of community
action
(This is to encourage students to think about the importance of
various context which can stimulate creative thinking and
unique insights. Through this, they will develop their literacy
skills.
