    Capstone Project Road Map

    S No. Event Details Deadline


    1 Course Published & Projects Released Capstone course is published. Students get access to all the project options. 4 March 2022
    2 Submit Project Preference Students pick 2 projects of their choice and state the order of preference from the list of projects on the basis of their interest. 3rd April 2022
    3 Project & Mentor allocation Program Office finalizes the projects and allocates an industry expert to mentor the students. 8 April 2022
    Pre Work expected from Students before the session :
    1) Understand and define the problem statement.
    2) Get a preliminary understanding of data and perform exploratory data analysis.
    Agenda for 1st Student Mentor Connect:
    4 First Student Mentor Connect 23-April-2022/24-April-2022
    1) Discuss the business context.
    2) Data cleaning and pre-processing (like outlier treatment, missing value treatment etc.)
    3) How to generate insights from EDA?
    4) Discuss any finer nuances that could be used to generate insights.
    Notes- 1 Expectation:
    1) Business Problem Understanding and Problem definition
    5 Project Notes- 1 Submission 2) Generate a data report. 1st May 2022
    3) Exploratory Data analysis and insights-driven from it.
    Submit the Project Notes-1 before the deadline, else marks will be deducted.

    7May 2022/8 May 2022


    1)Go through the feedback received for project notes-1.
    6 Second student-mentor connect
    2) Build various models and check their accuracy.
    Agenda for 2nd Student Mentor Connect:
    1) Discussion around what model performance measures could be applied?
    2) Discuss model validation
    3) Discuss model tuning
    4) Discuss how to draw business insights & recommendations.
    Notes- 2 Expectations:
    1) Model Building and comparison
    7 Project Notes- 2 Submission 2) Model Tuning 15 May 2022
    3) Model Interpretation
    Submit the Project Notes- 2 before the deadline, else marks will be deducted.

    2) Business insights and recommendations


    3) A structure for presentation.
    Agenda for 3rd Student Mentor Connect:
    1) How to further improve the model (if required).
    2) Discuss what a good structure of ppt looks like and how to make a good business presentation.
    9 PPT Submission A PPT that helps explain & communicate the data analysis to be used in the final presentation. 27 May 2022 (FRIDAY)
    10 Final Presentation To be Presented to Mentor. 28 May 2022/ 29 May 2022
    Final Report
    11 Final Report A business report in pdf format which includes the detailed analysis of project notes 1 and 2 along with business insights and recommendations. 5 June 2022
