ACP:

a. Meta-thinking…

Scenario

You’re in a philosophy class discussing the nature of thought. The professor

presents a thought experiment:

"Imagine a world where every thought you have is instantly visible to those
around you. You cannot hide your intentions, judgments, or secrets. Now,
think about how this would change the way you think, not just what you
think."

1. How would knowing that your thoughts are visible change your
thinking process?
2. What thoughts do you think you would suppress or alter?
3. How do you think this scenario would impact your interactions
with others?
(Would it create more honesty or lead to conflict?)

b. Analyzing

Scenario

You are reviewing a new rule at your school that requires all students to
submit homework online. Some students and teachers like it, while others
don’t. You need to figure out if the rule is working well.

1. Do students find it easier or harder to submit homework online?

2. Has the number of completed assignments changed since the rule
started?
3. What are the biggest complaints about the new rule?
(Are they related to technology, time, or something else?)

c. Realising

Scenario

Your friend has recently started acting distant and isn’t joining in on group
activities as much. You’re concerned but not sure what’s going on. You
decide to take some time to understand what might be happening.

1. Have you noticed any specific changes in your friend's behavior or

mood recently?
2. Could your friend’s distance be related to something happening within
the friend group?
3. Have you asked your friend how they’re feeling lately?

d. Linking

Scenario

You’re a member of a youth activist group in your city, and you’ve been
invited to speak at a major climate summit. The focus is on how climate
change is affecting local communities and what young people are doing to
create change. Your goal is to create a powerful presentation that links real
stories from your community to broader climate issues.

1. What’s the connection between increased flooding in your city and

global sea level rise?
2. Can you connect the loss of green spaces in your neighborhood to
urban development and the heat island effect?

VAA:
a. Empathetic…

Scenario

You’re volunteering at a support group for students dealing with academic

pressure and mental health challenges. During one session, a few students
open up about their struggles with anxiety, feeling overwhelmed by
expectations, and not knowing how to ask for help. As a facilitator, your role
is to understand their feelings and guide them toward finding their own
solutions.

1. How do the students describe their feelings when they’re overwhelmed

by schoolwork?
2. Can you identify common experiences or feelings shared by different
students in the group?
3. What changes would the students like to see in their school or family
environment to reduce stress and improve their mental health?
b. Agile

Scenario

You’re part of an agile project team developing a new app aimed at

improving mental health for students. The team is using agile methodologies
to create, test, and refine features based on student feedback. As the project
evolves, you’re responsible for ensuring the app meets users’ needs and
adapts to their feedback quickly.

1. How can you link the feedback from students directly to the features
being developed?
2. How do you prioritize which features to develop first based on user
feedback and the project’s goals?
3. How can you ensure that your team remains adaptable to changing
needs and feedback from students?

c. Hard – Working

Scenario

You’re leading a team of students preparing for an important interschool

competition, where you’ll present a project that you've all been working on
for months. It’s a big opportunity, and everyone wants to give their best. The
team is putting in long hours and facing various challenges, from tight
deadlines to technical issues. As the leader, your role is to motivate the team
and ensure that everyone is contributing effectively.

1. How do you keep yourself and your team motivated during late nights
and stressful work sessions?
2. What steps do you take to ensure that everyone is equally contributing
to the project’s success?
3. How do you manage your time to balance schoolwork, project
responsibilities, and personal life?
