 Winter Spiti Expedition Itinerary
Day 1: SHIMLA – KUFRI – KALPA
Begin your journey at Shimla to Kalpa through Kufri, Theog,
Narkanda, and Rampur.
Stop for breakfast and freshen up.
Reach Kalpa, check in at the hotel, and engage in group
bonding activities.
Dinner and overnight stay in Kalpa.

Day 2: KALPA – NAKO – TABO

After breakfast, continue the journey to Nako, a small village
in the trans-Himalayan ranges.
Stop at Khab, the confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti rivers.
Explore Nako village and lake.
Enter Spiti Valley, passing through the Sumdo check post.
Reach Tabo village and stay overnight.
Day 3: TABO- DHANKAR- PIN VALLEY- KAZA
Morning breakfast, then head to Tabo Monastery.
Visit Dhankar Monastery for a stunning view of the Spiti and
Pin River confluence.
Enjoy a scenic drive to Pin Valley.
Reach Kaza for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: KAZA SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, visit Key Monastery and Chicham Bridge.
Explore Hikkim, home to the world's highest post office.
Move to Komic village, one of the highest motorable villages.
Visit Langza, known for fossils and the Buddha statue.
Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: KAZA – SANGLA

Start the return journey to Sangla/Chitkul after breakfast.
Visit Chitkul, the last Indian village towards the China border.
Reach the hotel by evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
NOTE: The visit to Sangla Valley depends on the road and weather conditions.
If we are not able to do Sangla, the overnight stay will be at Kalpa or Rampur

Day 6: SANGLA- KUFRI- SHIMLA

Wake up early, have breakfast, and depart for Shimla.
Reach Shimla by evening.
Depart for Delhi.
*Buffer Day-* It is important to have an extra day as any bad
weather conditions or landslides may delay your journey. In case
another day is utilized, you need to pay ₹ 2500 for buffer day
expenses.

Note: You need to pay 50% of the total cost of the trip to confirm your
booking. The remaining amount has to be paid on Arrival day of
commencement of the trip.

Refund Policy
-Cancellation of booking of tour 31 days or more before the date of Departure
will result in a 20% deduction from the total cost of the tour.
-Cancellation of booking of tour 21-30 days before the date of Departure will
result in a 40% deduction from the total cost of the tour.
-Cancellation of booking of tour 11-20 days before the date of Departure will
result in a 60% deduction from the total cost of the tour.
-Cancellation of booking of tour 6-10 days before the date of Departure will
result in an 80% deduction from the total cost of the tour.
-Cancellation of booking of tour 1-5 days before the date of Departure will
result in a 100% deduction from the total cost of the tour.
 Additinal Information
1) This Trip can be arranged from Delhi to Delhi at a total cost of ₹18,000 p.p
(inclusive of Volvo bus Transfer)
-Delhi to Shimla transfer in a comfortable Volvo bus on the night (10-11 pm)
before Day 1 for those travelers who want to opt from Delhi.
-You will board the returning Delhi bus from Shimla on Day 6 evening and
reach back Delhi the next morning around 6-8 am.

 Disclaimer
1. This is not a leisure trip but an expedition.
Participants have to be mentally and physically prepared for this
winter expedition.

2. Expect power cuts and water shortages when traveling to Spiti

Valley due to extreme temperatures.

3. No hotels are operational during winter in the Spiti Valley. We

provide accommodation in homestays on sharing basis and we do not
promise to attached washroom. Still, we make sure it's a different
charm staying in a homestay as you will get a taste of the local
lifestyle and culture.

4. Due to freezing temperatures the usual washroom won't be

operational in Spiti Valley. Dry pits washroom will be available, same is
used by the locals too. Basic hygiene is always our priority.

5. Access to high-altitude regions of Spiti Valley may be blocked during

winter due to excessive snowfall. Hence, the visit to these locations is
weather dependent. In such a case, we will look for the best possible
alternatives, as feasible.

6. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical

ability of participants, etc. may cause itinerary changes. We reserve
the right to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort,
and general well-being.

7. Any misbehavior or abusive attitude towards the Tour

Leader/Driver/Host or any other co-traveler will not be tolerated,
anyone found doing the same will be sent back there and then.

8. Expenses incurred (accommodation/transportation/Volvo bus) due

to road blockages or other natural calamities will be borne directly by
travelers
