2 Show the pictures from the text on SB, p.48. Ask pupils what they can see. 2. class discussion.
3. Pupils read the text on p.48 and highlight/ underline any new words. Direct
pupils to the pictures to try to guess the meaning of the new words.
4. Focus pupils on the questions on SB p.49. Teacher informally assess pupils’
Reading skills. Have pupils do this alone initially before checking with a partner.
