illuminance data storage, or pressing will change the screen display in a reversed
sequence. Only in these 7 screens can the shutdown, backlight on/off, and data hold
on/off operations be performed.
3.2.2 Backlight and Data Hold
In any of the preceding 7 screens, you can press to cyclically set backlight
and data hold following the sequence: backlight off and data hold off (default settings),
backlight on and data hold off, backlight on and data hold on, and backlight off and
data hold on. Data hold off indicates that data on the LCD display is subject to
automatic update, while data hold on indicates that data is locked and not updated.
Note: Only in these 7 screens can the shutdown, backlight on/off, and data hold on/off
operations be performed.
3.2.3 Measuring Current Illuminance and Temperature
Upon power-on, the meter automatically measures and displays current
illuminance and temperature (see Figure 3-1). You can press to set backlight and
data hold (see section 3.2.2 for details).

Press or to switch to the screen (see Figure 3-11) for automatic storage
of illuminance data, and then press and hold for two seconds to enter the screen
for querying stored illuminance data. In this screen, press (the group number
goes larger according to the range) and (the group number goes smaller
according to the range) to query the illuminance data of different groups. In addition,
you can choose to query automatically stored data (queried by default) or manually
stored data by pressing and holding for two seconds. In the screen (see the left
half of Figure 3-12) showing the illuminance data stored automatically, you can press
to switch between ranges of x1, x10 (S), x50 (H), and x100 (SH); in the screen
(see right half of Figure 3-12) showing the illuminance data stored manually, you can
press to select x1 or x10 (S). Then, press and hold for two seconds to exit
and return to the screen showing illuminance the illuminance data stored
automatically.
Note: If no illuminance data is stored automatically or manually, corresponding query
will fail. The illuminance data that is stored automatically can also be queried using

Chapter 5 Precautions
5.1 Precautions
▲ Alcohol and dilution are corrosive to the meter case, especially its LCD
display. To clean the case, use a cloth with some water to wipe it gently.
▲ Remove the batteries when you may not use it in a long time to prevent it
from damage due to leak of electrolyte.
▲ Any fault should be handled by a qualified person. Do not repair or modify it
on your own. Replacing batteries and disassembling the meter should be done in strict
accordance with the user manual.
