a. This course is best suited to a lecture format, and students are encouraged to ask
questions and participate. Everyone is expected to read about each topic in the text before
the topic is presented in class. I will resist slowing down the class for a few people who
are unprepared.
b You will only be tested on the material covered in class. For example, I will not ask you
a test question that expects you to remember a topic or application from the text not
covered in class. Instead, the text should be used to help you understand the lectures. No
make-up examination will be given except for compelling reason by special arrangement
in advance. Absent from Final examination without prior information results in F grade.
c. Quizzes will be administered at the beginning of the class. No make-up quiz will be
administrated under any circumstances.
e. When it comes to your grades, I do not do things such as an extra assignment or take
another exam to improve your grades. So be careful and study seriously for your midterm
exam
f. Mobile phone should be turned off or put into silent mode during class. No prolonged
