    It cannot be overemphasized that the course we choose to study has a significant role to play in our

    lives, and our choice of career should be predicated on our interest and passion . I realized this while I
    was studying English Language at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State Nigeria, a course
    which I finished in the year 2016. During this period, my enthusiasm for teaching English Language
    began to grow as a result of my brief role as an English language/Literature teacher at Living Success
    College.

    My passion for the subject fully emerged during a year of required National Youth Service
    Corps (NYSC), during which I worked as a Language instructor at Arinola International College in
    Kwara State, Nigeria. After my mandatory service year, I was retained as a permanent
    employee before I was recruited by the Oyo State Government in February 2022. Given my
    deep passion to contribute to humanity, I was able to teach and inspire my students to win
    several oratory contests, quiz and spelling competitions. My activities attracted commendations
    and awards from the government and dignitaries to me. The commendation serves as a huge
    encouragement to do more. This is the reason I chose to have the MSc in English Language at
    the prestigious Manchester Metropolitan University as I believe the opportunity will enable me
    to have a necessary skills to contribute more to my society.
    I strongly believe that this course will be crucial in establishing, enhancing, and changing the
    status quo of my organization through efficient utilization of advanced knowledge, project
    management, and the development of strong education strategies. Additionally, I will acquire
    advanced knowledge of language teaching and administration of education principles through
    in-depth study of current theories and practice. I will be able to study the challenges of
    management in education owing to the course's international component, which will also help
    me better comprehend management in a global setting. My ability to comprehend and evaluate
    a variety of languages pertinent to the contemporary global education and advancement would
    help my enterprise remain relevant in Nigeria and Africa.

    With the information above, I'm not only certain that after finishing my course, I'll have
    absorbed a significant amount of professional knowledge that will help me in my future work
    and allow me to give back to the community. Also, I am confident that attending Manchester
    Metropolitan University will provide me with the opportunity to experience a new culture,
    meet new people, and take advantage of my school's previous tradition of showcasing the best
    scholars and academic achievements.
