F. Evaluation
Read and analyze the following statements below. Identify what type of social
issue is manifested in each paragraph.
1. The national government didn’t immediately see the need to accredit qualified
laboratories to test COVID-19 samples. The country relied on a single laboratory in
the early weeks of pandemic. This is definitely one of the reasons why COVID-19
infections are rapidly increasing its numbers. _____________________________
2. During the pandemic companies are on lockdown. Even worst than that many
companies declared bankruptcy. Luisa’s father work as a regular employee in one
of the companies situated in Metro Manila. Because of the pandemic it was closed
and her father lost his job. ___________________________________
3. Jose and Chona are married for 10 years. They have four children. Jose lost his job
in the construction site and Chona couldn’t find any job either. The family relies on
asking on the streets for food and donations from generous people.
__________________________
4. Keana is a Grade 10 student. She has only one arm but she never failed to be on
the honor list every school year. In her last year as a junior student her family
decided to transfer residence. Her new classmates always make fun of her and
Keana lost interest in her studies. She doesn’t want to go to school anymore.
