Yoga Day Celebration

Academic Year 2024-25

GG International School celebrated Yoga Day with great enthusiasm, coinciding with
World Music Day starting from 21st June till 28th of June. The event featured a variety of
yoga-related activities that highlighted the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of
yoga.

 The celebration began with a Isha Foundation Session: Educational and


inspirational session for teachers, parents, grandparents, and students by Mr.
Gaurav Patil, Ms.Bini Nair & Ms.Preeti Landge providing an opportunity for
everyone to learn about the deeper aspects of yoga and meditation. The Isha
Foundation's session emphasized the importance of yoga in daily life and how it
can help in achieving overall well-being.
This Foundation is an international non-profit organization founded by Sadhguru,
a yogi, mystic and visionary.

 Surya Namaskar: Performed by students across various grades.


 Yogic Shloka : Shloka recitation by Grade 1 & 2 students.
 Rhythmic Yoga: Synchronized yoga movements with music performed by Grade
3 to 5 students as Interhouse activity.
 Yog Nritya: A blend of yoga and dance performed by Grade 6 to 12 students.

Series of Surya Namaskar sequences, performed by students of different grades. This was
followed by an impressive display of rhythmic yoga, where students synchronized their
movements with soothing music, showcasing their flexibility and coordination. The event
also included Yog Nritya, a unique blend of yoga and dance, which added a creative and
artistic touch to the celebration.

The celebration at GG International School not only promoted physical fitness but also
fostered a sense of community and togetherness among the participants. The event was a
resounding success, leaving everyone inspired and rejuvenated.
