ABSTRACT
The experiment actually presents an analysis of capacitor circuit utilizing cobra 3, a high performance
switching regulator. The study was literally focused on the behavior of a capacitor in the circuit with
the examination of factors such as voltage and current handling. Capacitors and resistors were
connected in circuits. Graphs were plotted for each case and the capacitance was deduced using the
impedance relation. The capacitances were 153.402, 752.56, 636.62 and 0.156F respectively.

INTRODUCTION
The study of alternating current (AC) circuits is fundamental in understanding the behavior of various
electrical components under AC conditions. One key component in those circuits is the capacitor,
which stores and releases electrical energy. Determining the capacitance of a capacitor in an AC
circuit is essential for numerous applications, ranging from signal processing to power management.
This experiment aims to determine the capacitance in an AC circuit using the cobra 3 system. Cobra 3
is a versatile data acquisition system that allows for precise measurement and analysis of electrical
parameters. By employing this system, we can accurately capture the behavior of the capacitor in the
AC circuit, analyze the data, and derive the capacitance. Understanding the capacitance in an AC
circuit is crucial for designing and optimizing electrical systems. This experiment provides hands-on
experience with advanced measurement techniques and reinforces theoretical knowledge of AC
circuit behavior. The following sections will detail the experimental setup, methodology, data
analysis, and results obtained from this investigation.
