JUBILEE PARADE cum THEMATIC PRESENTATIONS

Date and Time: November 16, 2024 (Saturday) ; 2:00PM (PARTICIPANTS) ;

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. The presentations are not a competition but will be judged for special
awards. It involves six (6) groups from different Zones of Sta. Catalina De
Alexandria Parish-Glan such as Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5A, 5B, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.

2. This year's thematic presentations will showcase performances that will


feature the unique histories of each Zones, their religious experiences which
strengthened their faith, and the essence of ‘Synodality’ as a way of
celebrating the life of the parish through the years. The zones will be
clustered and will perform according to the result of the draw lots.

Cluster #1: Zones 1 and 2


Cluster #2: Zones 3, 4, and 6
Cluster #3: Zones 5A and 5B
Cluster # 4: Zones 11 and 10
Cluster # 5: Zones 8 and 9
Cluster # 6: Zones 7 and 12

3. The Zone Representatives per Zone shall be the focal persons for any
related concerns.

4. Participating clusters shall be composed of 30-40 performers. Props men


and/or support staffs are allowed during the performance but are limited to
only 10 individuals.

5. All participants of the parade should provide their own Cluster and Zone
Banner and shall bring any religious images and objects as an expression of
faith and as a way of evangelization.

6. Competing clusters shall be given 5-8 minutes of performance time,


including the entrance, preparation and exit, during the final showdown.
Timekeepers will be commissioned by the Committee to do the task. Five (5)
points will be deducted from the entry's total score for special awards if their
time exceeds the 30-second post-performance grace period.

7. The performance concept should be organized according to the general


theme. An approved storyline from the organizing committee is required to
be read before the performance. Strictly NO acrobatic stunts and lifting.

8. Street dancing is progressive in nature; thus, all entries must not stop for
a performance during the parade.

9. Hand-held props are allowed including backdrops and/or aerial props as


long as it does not exceed to 1 meter in length and diameter. The use of
pyrotechnic, hazardous or dangerous props and improvised risers are
prohibited.

10. During the parade, each entry must provide their own sound system
which will be placed in front of the participating cluster. The Music must be
the official “75th Patronal Fiesta Official Song” commissioned by the Parish
Pastoral Council.

11. "75th Patronal Fiesta Official Song- Upbeat version" is the official
performance music to be used during the finale dance showdown. However,
each entry may incorporate other music (that is not violative to the doctrines
of the church) provided that majority of the official performance music will be
used.

12. The participating group has the freedom to use their creativity for their
decent and presentable costumes and props.

13. All participating clusters will be given a seed money amounting to 5,


000.00.

14. Monitoring or Updating will be done prior to the competition.

15. Ranking system will be used in the judging of the special awards.

16. Non-compliance to the guidelines is equivalent to 5-point deduction.

17. The decision of the board of judges is FINAL and IRREVOCABLE

Criteria for Judging


A. BEST PRESENTATION (Jubilee Trophy)
Discipline-20% • This includes demeanor of the participants before, during,
and after the parade and performance.
Movement-40% • This includes choreography, musicality, adherence to their
respective theme, and synchronization.
Overall Impact-40% • This includes showmanship, audience impact,
charisma and aesthetic appeal of the costume and performance

B. BEST IN COSTUME
Creativity - 40% • This includes originality and inventiveness, aesthetic
appeal, and overall impact of the float.
Environmental Friendliness- 40% • Use of indigenous materials and limited
use of non-biodegradable materials.
Overall Impact - 20% • Overall aesthetic appeal

C. MOST DISCIPLINE
To be decided by the organizing committee.

D. MOST ACTIVE AND PARTICIPATIVE
