Solubility Glissopal SA is soluble in aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons.

Application

Glissopal SA is based on chlorine-free highly reactive polyisobu-
tene with a molecular weight of Mn = 1000. As a result, Glis-

sopal SA has a higher level of functionality and a substantially
higher purity level than PIBSAs based on standard polyisobutene.

These qualities make Glissopal SA an ideal raw material for

highly selective reaction processes. Glissopal SA is specially
optimized to have a low bismaleination value for producing emul-
sifiers

Performance Chemicals

Storage and Handling It is recommended that Glissopal SA be stored and handled at
temperatures from 80°C to 100°C. Carbon steel, stainless steel,
polypropylene or teflon can be used for storage tanks and injec-
tion systems. Nitrogen blanketing is recommended for long term
storage, but not required for shipping or handling for short periods
of time.

Packaging 170 kg steel drums or in bulk quantities.

Safety
Precautions

Always refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for detailed infor-
mation on safety.

A Safety Data Sheet conforming to EC-Directive 91/155/EEC is

available for Glissopal SA.
