in Mathematics 3

I. Learning Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:


a. identify Philippine money up to 1000;
b. read money in symbols and words;
c. write money in symbols and words; and
d. give the value of each Philippine money in daily living.

In the Philippines, we use pesos
and centavos for our money
system.

Here are the Philippine coins and


bills.

These are Philippine coins like


five centavos, ten centavos,
twenty-five centavos, One peso,
Five pesos, and Ten pesos.

These coins are old Philippine

These are new Philippine coins.

Now, I will show you the different Philippine


bills.

Okay, now, here’s how to write the
Philippine coins in words and symbols.

We can write it in words or in numerals.


We always use the peso sign and the centavo
sign in writing money in numerals.

Alright, let’s try these, class.
Remember kids:
We always use the symbols pesos
and the symbol centavo in writing the money.
