1.The following sentences are written on the board:

didn’t. The question and the answer are written on the
board.
2.Students are asked Did she wake up at 10 yesterday?
Students answer Yes, she did. The question and the
answer are written on the board.
3. Students pay attention to the grammar box at the top
of page 29. Students read the question and the answer
out loud.
4.Students are explained that we use did to form
questions about the past. Student point out that in the
interrogative form the main verb isn’t in the past tense,
but remains in the present tense.
5. A set of questions in past tense are prepared without
punctuations. Students punctuate correctly.
Activity 3 (Students Book page 29)
1. Students are explained that they have to refer to
activity 1 and answer the questions using short
answers. Students compare their answers in
pairs first, then check as a class.

1.A student thinks of a verb in the Past Simple and
writes the same number of dashes as the letters in the
word, on the board.
2. The rest of the class takes turns to guess the letters.
If a letter is correct, the student at the board writes it in
the appropriates space. If a letter is not correct, the
student draws part of the person hanging from the
gallows and writes the letter on the board so the
students don’t repeat the same letetr.
3. The class wins if they find the verb before the picture
