Sentences are said, students jump to the right if they
refer to the present, or to the left, if they refer to the
past.
DELIVERY 1.Students are explained that they have to complete the
sentences with the verbs given in the Present Simple if
they refer to the present or the Past Simple if they refer
to the past.
2.Students are reminded that they can check the past
tenses of different verbs in the Grammar reference at
the back of the book. Students compare their answers
in pairs first and then check as a class.
Activity 2(Student Book page 36)
1.Students pay attention to the picture in activity 2.
They guess what job the man does and what the animal
in the picture is.
2. Students are told that they are going to listen to a
text about Paul who is a photographer. They are
explained that they have to listen carefully and circle
the correct answer a or b.
3.The CD is played and students complete the activity.
Students compare their answers in pairs and then
check as a class.
POST LESSON Students think about their learning and performance in
this unit. They then complete the self-assessment
worksheet. The worksheets collected from students and
they are reviewed to note students’ responses. If there
are any areas of concern, prepare a review of these in
upcoming lessons.
