Group Project
Due on Friday, 15 November 2024

Overview
Each group will investigate a specific topic related to Environmental Science and Sustainability
for Business. The report should include theoretical frameworks, empirical analysis, and practical
implications for businesses.

Group Topics
1. The financial and environmental impacts of Renewable Energy Adoption (Energy Sector)
2. Water Resource Management in Agriculture (Agriculture Sector)
3. Sustainable Supply Chain Management (Manufacturing Sector)
4. Sustainable Transportation Solutions for Urban Areas (Transportation Sector)
5. Waste Management and Business Opportunities (Waste Management Sector)
6. The Impact of Climate Change on the Tourism Industry (Tourism Sector)

General Instructions for All Groups


1. Research and Data Collection:
o Gather relevant empirical data from academic journals, industry reports,
government publications, and case studies. Ensure the data is recent and reliable.
2. Report Structure:
o Title Page:
1. Title of the report
2. Group number and members' names
3. Course name and date
o Introduction (1-2 pages):
1. Background of the topic
2. Importance of the topic in the context of environmental science and
sustainability
3. Objectives of the report
o Literature Review(2-3 pages):
1. Key theories and frameworks relevant to the analysis
2. Identification of gaps in the literature
3. Summarize existing research relevant to your topic.
o Methodology (1-2 pages):
1. Description of the empirical analysis methods used (e.g., case studies,
surveys, statistical analysis)
2. Data sources (e.g., academic articles, government reports, industry data)
3. Explanation of tools used for analysis (e.g., Excel, statistical software)
o Analysis (3-4 pages): Present your findings, including graphs, tables, and
statistical analysis where applicable.

o Submit the final report (10-15 pages) by the 15 November 2024, ensuring proper

Group Instructions
 Collaboration: Each group member should take on a specific role (e.g., researcher, writer,
data analyst, presenter) to ensure effective collaboration.
 Meet Regularly: Schedule weekly meetings to discuss progress and address any
challenges.
 Use Technology: Utilize tools like Google Docs for collaborative writing and data
analysis software for empirical work.
 Present Findings: Prepare a 10-15 minute presentation summarizing the report for the
class, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
