1 SAFETY INSTRUCTION
 Please read this section carefully before installing and using the DBZ6J control card.
If you have any questions about this document, please contact Changsha Basisi.

 Please turn on the machine power in strict accordance with the following order:
computer, DBZ6J control card, galvanometer, and laser. Otherwise, injury may
occur due to the uncontrollable laser beam. We recommend that you use a light
shutter to avoid injury from uncontrolled laser light and wear protective eyewear
when operating the laser.

 The DBZ6J control card is designed to control a laser scanning system. Please follow
all laser safety instructions (including but not limited to those described in the laser,
galvanometer, and related sections of this document). All safety instructions
regarding laser systems should be understood and followed by the customer.
Customers must strictly comply with relevant safe operating instructions and are
independently responsible for the safety of the laser system used. Safety rules may
vary from country to country. It is the customer's responsibility to comply with all
local regulations.

 Please check carefully before running the software. Software errors may cause the
system to stop responding. In this case, neither the galvanometer nor the laser can
be controlled.

 Please prevent the board card from being damaged by moisture, dust, corrosion,
and impact from foreign objects.

 When storing and using the board, please avoid damage from electromagnetic fields
and static electricity. They may damage the electronics on the board. Please use
anti-static packaging bags to store boards; please wear well-grounded anti-static
protective gloves to touch the boards.

 Please ensure that the board is stored in an environment between -20°C and +60°C.
The allowed working environment temperature is 0℃ to +45℃.

 The DB25 socket is used to output the laser control signal, and it is directly
connected to the pulsed fiber laser through a 25-pin cable.
 The DB15 socket is used to output the galvanometer signal. The galvanometer
control signal is a digital signal and can be directly connected to the internationally
common digital galvanometer through the XY-100 protocol.
 Use DB15 socket to expand the axis IO input and output: the input signal includes
the extended axis zero signal and limit signal, 3-way TTL universal input signal, the
output signal includes the pulse signal and direction signal of the expanded axis,
3-way TTL universal output signal, and the GATE of the laser /FPS/PWM signal.
 USB2.0 interface to connect mouse or keyboard.
 Use DB15 socket VGA output to connect to the monitor.
 Use the RJ45 network port to connect to the router.

3 ELECTRIC CONNECTION
3.1 Interface Description
3.1.1 Power supply interface
This marking control card requires a 12V DC power supply, and the required voltage range is

12~24V. It is recommended to use a 12V/2A or 24V/1A switching power supply. The power

supply is connected from J9 (see 3.1.4 for details).

3.1.2 Galvanometer control interface

The galvanometer control interface CON1 uses a standard DB15 female socket. The

galvanometer control signal is a digital signal and can be directly connected to the digital

galvanometer. Since the digital signal transmission protocols used by digital galvanometers

are not exactly the same, it is necessary to confirm which transmission protocol the digital

galvanometers use.

2) Pins 11, 12, 16 and 21 are laser status inputs. They represent different states

depending on the laser. For example: the laser status input only defines the use of pins

16 and 21. These 2 bits represent the following status of the laser:

L L The laser temperature is not in the operating temperature range. *

L H Normal status

H H MO abnormal

3) The other pin definitions of the laser control interface comply with the driving
requirements of general fiber lasers. Different lasers may have small differences in drive
timing. The application software that works with them can be set in the interface to make
the laser work at its best. Under normal circumstances, the laser can work normally after
being connected to the control interface of DBZ6J according to the definition.

3.2 Connection of input and output signals

3.2.1 Use of universal single-ended input signals
Single-ended universal input signals such as pins 4, 8, and 10 of the IO interface, the internal
circuit is as shown in Figure 3-6:

Figure 3-6 Single-ended universal input circuit

This kind of input signal only needs to connect a switch to the ground at the IN4 end. Of
course, the external circuit can also use an electronic switch. When the switch is connected to
GND, the input is "0", and when the switch is open, the input is "1".

3.2.2 Use of universal differential input signals

Differential universal input signal, its internal circuit is as shown in Figure 3-7:

Figure 3-7 Universal differential input circuit

When using differential input, decide whether to connect an external current-limiting

resistor based on the actual voltage value of the external power supply VCC to ensure that

the input current is between 5mA and 10mA. If the input voltage is greater than 12V, it is

recommended to connect a current-limiting resistor in series outside the control card.

Assuming that the input current is selected to be 10mA, the calculation method of the input

resistor current limit R is as follows (unit ohms):

R = VCC×1000/10 – 1000

3.2.3 Use of universal output signals

Universal output signals, such as pins 2, 5, and 10 of the IO interface, are TTL compatible. The

output voltage is directly output to the GND signal. The output must avoid short circuit or

grounding, otherwise the board will be damaged, and the output current should be

guaranteed to be less than 5mA.
