1. Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve
• Location: Intersection of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala
• National Parks: Bandipur, Mudumalai, Nagarhole, Silent Valley, Wayanad
• Geographical Features: Western Ghats mountains, Nilgiri Hills
• Flora and Fauna: Elephants, Tigers, Indian Bison, Nilgiri Tahr, Lion-tailed
macaque

2. Gulf of Mannar
• Location: Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka
• National Parks: Gulf of Mannar Marine National Park
• Geographical Features: Coral reefs, estuaries, beaches, forests of the
nearshore environment
• Flora and Fauna: Dugong, Green Sea Turtle, diverse coral and fish species

3. Sundarbans
• Location: West Bengal
• National Parks: Sundarbans National Park
• Geographical Features: Mangrove forests, delta region
• Flora and Fauna: Royal Bengal Tigers, Saltwater Crocodile, Sundari trees
