0 OBJECTIVE:
To lay down a Procedure for Boiler Safety Interlock’s & Safety Relief Valve Inspection.

2.0 SCOPE:
This SOP is applicable for Boiler Safety Interlock’s & Safety Relief Valve Inspection at
International Ingredients & Excipients Pvt Ltd. Survey No.01, UDL-6, 7&7A, Industrial Park,
Mandanapalem, Satyavedu, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India-517646.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
3.1 Engineering: Is responsible for Boiler Safety Interlock’s & Safety Relief Valve Inspection.
3.2 Safety Executive/Officer: Is responsible for to verify Boiler Safety Interlock’s & Safety Relief
Valve Inspection.
3.3 Safety Executive/Officer: Is responsible for to maintain the compliance for this SOP.

4.0 PROCEDURE:
4.1 Pressure Switch Working: To monitoring steam pressure in case Pressure is high Indicate
Pressure high indication, Alarm/Hooter ON and ID & FD Fan Trip.
4.2 Mobrey Switch Working: It’s water level controller. There are 3 switches to have signaled for
automated.
1. High Level Water - Water feed pump OFF
2. Low Level Water –Water feed pump ON
3. Very Low Level Water – ID & FD Fan Trip
4.3 Safety Relief Valve Working: Safety Valve Open when steam pressure is goes high in drum SRV
Automatically release the pressure.
4.4 Fusible Plug: If flue gas temperature is goes abnormal, Fusible plug will be fused & quenched the
fire. Ensure visibly Fusible plug is properly placed.
4.5 FD Fan Trip: If incase any abnormal occurred in the ID Fan.
4.6 Emergency Switch: It’s used to if incase any emergency problem occurred in the boiler.
4.7 All Safety Ok Indication: Above all the functions working good condition indicate the All Safety
Ok indication.
4.8 Feed Pump is manual Turn Auto mod & Check and Pump is ON Condition.
4.9 Feed Pump is OFF Check and Put Pump is ON Condition
4.10 Frequency:
4.10.1 Boiler Inter Lock Inspection Checklist should maintain the once in three month.
