The municipality of Guinayangan holds fifty-four (54) barangays with more or less forty-five
thousand (45,000) population.
Many of those barangays are remote from our metro población where the Guinayangan
Medicare Community Hospital.
In connection with this, we figured that there is a need to build a health facility for our remote
barangays in the 1st District; Barangay Bagong Silang, Del Rosario, San Jose, San Luis I, San
Luis II and San Pedro II. Fortunately, we have find a way to provide for this need through a
private foundation: Lorenzo Tañada Foundation.
They are willing to provide the funding for the construction of the health facility, including
medical and dental equipment in it. The facility will be situated at Barangay San Luis II and it
will be called the “Prince Lying-In Clinic”.
The administration and management of the health facility will be awarded to the Local
Government Unit of Guinayangan, Quezon on the inauguration/turn-over ceremony, right after
the construction.
In this light, may we request for your authorization to proceed with this project. This will provide
immediate basic health benefits that our remote barangays need. This will also help nearby
communities even outside our municipality.
For your reference, we have attached a copy of detailed program of work and plan of the
project.
