O ur new 2024-25 catalogue is being released with some price increases,

as our costs have increased, plus many new items to give you a better
selection.

retail experience between them.
This year especially, keep track of store specials. Ever y month there will
be something different. The gift shop located across f rom reception
has t-shirts, hoodies, fur hats, mitts, wolf and bear rugs, tanned fur, key

Looking to 2025 and what to expect for fur interest, The 2023 season ended with a good profit at year
it is best to reflect on what took place the previous end and at the conclusion of the 2024 season FHA
year. As most everyone knows, during the 2024 realized an 80% gross sales increase over 2023, so
selling season all auctions at FHA were conducted we are expecting very good news once our 2024

IMPORTANT TIPS FOR BEST TANNING RESULTS

It is very important that all meat, flesh and fat be removed so that the tanning
oils can properly penetrate the skin.
The ears, lips and eyes should be turned and fleshed.
Stretch and dry your pelts properly. Pelts that are salted and dried are
acceptable. Do not ship green.
Avoid tanning pelts that may have been stored for extended periods of time in
above ideal temperatures, as this could lead to surprise taints or bug damage
once the pelt returns from the dressing plant.
Ask yourself if the pelt is worth tanning in the first place. Tanning a coyote
infested with mange usually does not have ideal results.

6. FHA’s sales are conducted in U.S. dollars. If you are a Canadian shipper, your proceeds

7. Trappers with inactive accounts or accounts with sales under $5.00 will not receive a
cheque or statement. However, these proceeds will be kept in your account and once your
sales surpass $5.00, a cheque will be issued. Previous statements can be viewed online. If

8. Drumming charges will be deducted for all long hair pelts that are drummed. Drumming
cleans and improves the appearance of the long haired pelts and increases their value.
9. A shrinkage allowance is calculated on all castoreum shipments. The amount of this

allowance is at FHA’s discretion.
10. Unsold goods are not returnable. They will be re-offered on subsequent sales until sold
or declared to be of “no value” in the case of poor quality skins with no commercial value.
11. Skins that are deemed to have no commercial value will be turned over to the
Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for disposal. These skins will appear on
printout as “no value”.
