If you would like to give your students a final grading level after they have finished
the Mock Test, you could use the following suggested cut score percentages:

Level* Part A + Part B2 or converted Part B1


Level 5 85% and above

Level 4 70 – 84%

Level 3 50 – 69%

Level 2 30 – 49%

Level 1 15 – 29%

Unclassified below 15%

To calculate a final mark and level, you can use the following formula:
Student’s Part A mark Student’s Part B2 or converted Part B1 mark
( + ) x 0.5 x 100%
total Part A marks total Part B2 marks

* Candidates attempting Part A and Part B1 can attain up to Level 4, while candidates attempting Part A and Part B2 can
attain the full range of levels. Also, candidates with the best performance can be awarded Level 5* or Level 5**.
