Dear Zahoor Miya
Received your letter.It is good to go with a guide instead
of following some steps of every person while going on
the way. When a kid will walk by holding the finger of an
elder person, then it is the responsibility of that person for
the protection of the boy who is holding the finger of the
boy.
Come on to Ajmare and come here; it is a must. By
walking on the new ways of life, we get welfare from the
religion. You understood right. The aim of the man is to
live in satisfaction. And satisfaction is not such a thing
that we can purchase with money and satisfaction is an
inside condition.
The world itself is not mean, but its love is a bad thing.
For love, acceptance for fulfilling of order and its
obtaining. And the necessity of sayings of shaikhs, and it
is a must to follow it. The original peer is a spiritual
doctor. And who cures disease of spirit and illness of
heart. The peer of teaching is seeing the skill of the
student and giving him teaching. And fulfill his shortage.
They will see in some body defects of sensual. So first
they cure it. And find in somebody’s defect of the heart,
then cure it. If the heart of a student is not aware of love,
they consider the position of love as important. And they
will provide resources.So that he can know about love in
this matter.
While coming into the field of Sufism, one should not
criticize and censure any person. What is news that person
may have a position with him?
One should close their ears, eyes, lips, and tongue, and
then it will be good.
There are four kinds of holy persons.
1. In the salik (student), in which there is an appearance
of the position of Islamic law, the position of reality is
hidden.
2. Majzub (dauntless person) Salik is known for being
aware of reality and unaware of all others. Like prophet
Khizer, and for him there was no objection to the
explanation of orders.
Majzub Salik, upon him there is an appearance of
comprehensiveness of attributes. But for him,
overpowering reality and inverting Islamic law. Even
though both of us found it, it did not appear.
4. In Salik Majzub there are found positions. but there is
an overpowering of Islamic law. These two positions with
perfection can give him the power to complete a human
being. In Salik there is the ability of education and saying.
But Majzub hidden has no ability to correct the other, and
from whatever there will be a thing of correction, it
should be like that which was shown by the prophet
Khizer to kill the younger boy. Which is not possible for
the prophet and which is not legal?
The manners of Sufi people are not that to call greed as
Ziarat (visit), and for disrespect and rudeness, they should
be called by sincerity. And for out of the reality, it should
be called cunning. To obtain wealth and respect, it should
be thought of as the nearness of kings as a Muslim
person’s intercession. And for misery, it should be
thought of as wisdom. But the real matter is to leave all
these things and engage in the worship of Allah. The
student’s first position is ending. This is a place of waking
up from carelessness. The second position is repentance.
Here there is regret for his sins. And asking forgiveness.
The third position is repentance. At this place, students
will wake up and engage in the worship. The fourth
position is abstinence. He should keep away each and
every thing from which there will be doubt of highness.
The fifth position is seeking an explanation of the soul.
And in profit and loss is the abode of the sorrow of the
soul. The 6th position is devotion.He should engage in
worship and obedience always with full attention. The 7th
position is a place of abstinence. And in which there is
leaving of the world and to be kept away from the world
and observation of the world. The 8th position is
indigence, which is the non-existence of possession. And
too empty of heart from all things. The 9th position is
truth. And it is sincerity of manifest and innermost. The
10th place is interpretation. It will teach sourness to the
soul.The 11th position is patience. That is to leave off
complaints. The 12th position is acceptance. What is the
taste of calamity? The 13th position is sincerity.Which is
taking away of mankind for dealing with Allah. The 14th
position is trust.He will have trust in Allah. And to know
Allah as the giver of sustenance. And did not have hope
except from Allah. to keep away from greed and voracity.
The presence of reality, which is called Wahdat al-Wajud,
is a must to bring the standard level. In short, in all things
of existence, there is found magnificence of the friend in
different shapes.
It is required to clear soil and filth of the innermost. There
are three kinds of filth: the soul, the world, and mankind.
And until from the world, mankind and soul should not
ignore and keep away, then there will never be found
purity of the innermost.
The real punishment of grave is friendship of the world.
The world is a traveler’s lodge of the service. And other
worlds belong to nearness. The world is unwise. And it
has associations like unwise persons.
The world and hereafter are veiled for the lovers.
Till now, whatever was written in letters and for which
there is no benefit if written and read only. The street of
Sufism belongs to action and full settlement. And there is
real favor due to deeds.May Allah give us devotion for
action to us and to you. As per this situation, I have
remembered one event that one Maulavi Sahib, who has
read many books, was met by any Darwesh. Maulavi
Sahib there mentioned many points and faults in matters.
When Maulavi Saheb left from there, the disciples of
Shah Sahib told him that Maulavi Sahib was taken away
like rivers of knowledge of the Sufism. Those were the
points that were not heard by you in this matter. So what
is the difference between you and Maulavi Saheb?
Shah Saheb said, “May be Maulavi Sahib knows only,
and I am in action.” Struggle is the work of a slave. And
devotion is from the side of Allah.
Yes, I am closing my letter. My prays to Enam Hasan and
Mahr Noor. When are you coming to Ajmare?. May Allah
keep you well.
There may live hand of favor of Hazrat Khaja Moinuddin
Chisti upon you always.
