But in security, as in everything, there are several kinds of meetings: some are good;
CREATION OF THE MULTIPURPOSE RECREATION SLAB IN THE TOWN OF HAVANA - HAVANA DISTRICT - PROVINCE
FROM MOYOBAMBA – SAN MARTIN DEPARTMENT
some are bad; some are worse than if there had been no meeting. It is not just a matter
of gathering people together and saying: “Comrades, there are some accidents that are
bothering us. They should be more cautious. Keep in mind that security must be
ensured. Don't forget it. See you later". Nor should we start rambling on about a
subject, hesitating and stammering, speaking in generalities and the importance of not
having accidents. No
tire your listeners with long speeches, which at the end leave them less informed than
before.
Meetings like this are a failure because no one participates except you, resulting in no
one contributing to problem planning or suggestions to help solve existing problems.
They are a failure because you are not prepared to teach nor are people prepared to
learn. There is also a simple technique for this:
However, you will be foolish if you talk a lot about safety and do nothing practical at
the same time to correct unsafe conditions and actions. There is more to it than just
preaching: we must personally practice safety, showing with our actions that we believe
in what we say. These weekly talks will give you the opportunity to discuss with your
workers
specific issues of the profession and at the same time create an awareness that will
contribute to the success of their work.
2. These five-minute safety talks have been prepared for use by Supervisors, Residents
and Foremen specifically. They have been written by men

They have years of experience in the field of security, thus putting that experience at
the service of all those who wish to use it profitably.
1. Schedule the meeting at least a week in advance, so that you have a chance

2. Check the meeting directly in the workshop. Seating space is not absolutely
necessary, because meetings are short, but arrange them so that everyone can
easily see and hear you.
3. Gather in advance all the materials you intend to use at the meeting (posters,
handouts, cards, etc.) When possible, use existing equipment to illustrate your
points. For example, broken hammer handles, damaged tools to demonstrate
how they can cause accidents, fire extinguishers, personal protective equipment
to demonstrate their proper use.
Discuss:
1. The nature of violations
2. The danger they represent
3. Provide constructive criticism (do not criticize anyone by name in front of the
group)
4. Review the work planned for the coming week.
Discuss:
1. Risks to be aware of
2. Safety equipment to be used
3. Procedures to be followed

9) FIRE PREVENTION
1. To prevent potential fire risks at the site, constant attention will be given to the
following aspects:
• Permanent development of Order and Cleanliness tasks in all phases of work
and in all work areas.
• Proper use of Hot Work Permits and Procedures.
• Provision of Safe Procedures for identifying, storing and handling
combustible substances, lubricants and flammable materials.
• Knowledge of the Emergency Response Plan and the proper use of fire

cotton, adhesive tape, syringes, needles, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, surgical soap, etc.
➢ Antipyretics and analgesics
➢ Antihistamines and antiallergy
➢ Implements, safety stretcher, splints, etc.
Once first aid has been provided, the injured or sick person will be quickly and correctly transferred, where
necessary, to the nearest health centre that has the capacity to handle the case and where treatment can be
continued.
To this end, the company will provide the necessary resources to immediately transfer the sick or injured
person to the respective hospital.
In addition, a detailed list of the addresses and telephone numbers of the nearest care units, emergency units,
health centers, and hospitals will be posted in a visible place.
Pre-occupational Health
When new staff enters the company, an interrogation is carried out looking for current symptoms or based on
a search for a history of possible illnesses, which will be recorded and evaluated to determine if they are
suitable for the designated jobs. This procedure will be carried out by a specialist from the nearest health
center in coordination with the person responsible for security. Likewise, periodic monitoring will be carried out
every 30 days.
Part of the evaluation is a requirement that all staff have complete and up-to-date vaccinations such as: Yellow
fever, hepatitis B, influenza and Tetanus.
Technical staff, middle management and those directly involved in first aid treatment will be trained. In
addition, to strengthen both the area of occupational health and industrial safety, complementary measures
will be established such as: Talks on accident prevention and the importance of hygiene and good eating
habits, which must be given at least once a year to all staff.
Within the work organization chart, those who must receive training in First Aid must be:
✓ Resident of construction
✓ Safety Engineer or Prevencioncita
✓ Safety Committee.
