I, Cynthia Ruthrock Wangui, would like to dedicate my work to my school for the
opportunity to experience what I had experienced out in the industry .
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I would like to acknowledge my school and the Superior Fraternity for giving
me the opportunity to work under the organization. I improved my attitude
towards work and handling of different type of guests. I got to understand
the way of work in the hospitality, the challenges and the ability to work
under pressure and other certain difficulties. Starting from the head to the
workers I trained a lot and learnt different responsibilities. From the training
acquired I can know be confident in the work of the hospitality industry. The
staffs helped me in acquiring the skills and taught me to manage stress as
and different type of guests. I would also like to acknowledge my family for
allowing me experience the feeling of working and trusting me being away
from home. My course instructor Madam Evelyn also helped me and
encouraged me to continue pushing on. A special thanks to Madam Rose for
trust me with the schools image and for always checking up on me during
my time in the internship.

Executive Summary

The organization offers different type of services and facilities. It ensures that the
guests get to experience and acquire the best experience for their money and
enjoy their long or short stay there. Every guest is treated equally and without
any favourism whatsoever. The superior Hotel Kenya has several branches the
country with top notch services offered in every one of them. They always put the
guest needs first and respect all of them.

I my attachment program I had the chance to work in different department such


as Food and Beverage Department, Kitchen Department and Housekeeping
Department . Just like any other industry the Hospitality Industry has their
challenges as well. But I’m grateful I got to experience the industry and learn of
my capability with the help of the staff and the organization as a whole .

CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION

Brief history
Lake Naivasha was opened in 1937.Superior Hotels Kenya is a
family-run hotel chain in Kenya that offers accommodation and
conferencing services. Superior Hotels Kenya has been in
business for over 20 years. They collaborate with various
groups and projects to advance social and environmental
objectives.

Introduction of organization
Superior Hotels is a leading hotel chain in Kenya currently
comprised of 9 properties located in Nairobi and Naivasha
providing a wide range of world class. These properties include
Westwood Hotel, Hadassah Hotel , Lake Naivasha Resort ,pearl
palace hotel,Sweetlake Hotel , Masada Hotel , Blooming Suites
Hotel and Longonot Transit Hotel.In the resort tourist enjoy
different activities such as boat riding in Lake Naivasha, Hippo
watching and swimming. The tranquilizing view from the lake
makes the atmosphere good and relaxing.
POLICY OF THE ORGANIZATION

Superior Hotel Kenya such as Lake Naivasha Resort in Naivasha has policies
for check-in, check-out, children, pets, and cancellations.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 12 PM and check-out is until 11 AM.Early check-in or late


check-out may be available for a fee, depending on availability.

Children

Children 12 and older are charged as adults.Cots are free for children 0–3
years old, and extra beds are $40 per child, per night.Extra beds are $40 per
person, per night for children 4 years and older.

Pets

Pets are not allowed.

Cancellations

Cancellation and prepayment policies vary by accommodation type. Check


the conditions of your room when entering your stay dates and confirm if
it’s the booked type. Additional supplies such as toothpaste and toothbrush,
bathing soap and shower nets are provided upon arrival. Any changes are
communicated to the reception or the housekeeper of the day using the
feedback form or orally.

Payment

The resort accepts cash and may temporarily hold an amount before arrival.
