    The education system in Andhra Pradesh starts from the elementary schooling where children from the age of four are made to learn the basics of the regional Telugu language and other subjects. Andhra Pradesh has one of the highest literacy rates in the country, a phenomenon which can be attributed to the fact that education of all children is encouraged. They take up studies rather than work for the family. In fact, the Andhra Pradesh education system boasts of free primary education.
