    The Rotaract Club of Loyola had an active 2011-2012 year. They installed the club on July 27th 2011 and held several service projects including campus cleaning, road safety awareness, Independence Day celebrations, teacher appreciation events, health seminars, and cultural programs for children and Interactors. Other activities included awareness rallies, birthday celebrations, Women's Day tree planting, an eye donation drive, promoting reusable bags, and an upcoming joint project called Penmai.

    CLUB REPORT 2011-2012

    Club installation

    On 27th July,2011 our club was installed. The Chief Guest for theday was Rtn.Vaidhyanathan (Assistant governor) and Rtn.Mohan Sadadivam (President of Rotary club of Madras Chenna Patna).

    Sutham Sugatharam

    It is an project done inside the college by cleaning the campus the club donated rs.10000 towards cleansing products and placed dustbings throught the college

    FELLOWSHIP..

    Fellowship at EA on July 28th2011 with our club board members.

    Road safety week

    From August

    2011 our college girls created traffic awareness among the public and helped in regulating traffic.It is our on going project.

    Independence day

    On August 2011, we celebrated Independence Day by distributing chocolates to Corporation School students in Kellys.

    MY GURU EPITOME of WISDOM.

    On Sep3rd,we did a project named My Guru Epitome of Wisdom for senior teachers various scools in chennai as a recognition program.Nearly 75 teachers were awarded with a citation. This project was collaboration with RC of Presidency Candles and RC of Madras Institute of Hotel management.

    HEALTH AND DIETICS


    On sep 23rd we had a health care

    session on Health and Dietics by the speakers from Apollo hospitals.

    VIZITHIRU PENNEA

    VIZHITHIRU PENNE is an awareness rally organized on WOMEN HARRASMENT. Nearly 750 rotarators from different clubs and supported the cause. Rtn Mohan Sadasivam was the chief guest for the day.

    IMAIGAL

    "Imaigal" a cultural event was organized for specially challenged childrens. It was an event to bring out the hidden talents of these little flowers. The Chief Guest for the day was Rtn.Seshadri Subramanian, PDRR Solomon & RJ Gopinath of Radio City. Ethiraj joined hands with RC of Vishwahita and RC of Vivekananda. The event was organized on November 20th 2011.

    SAY NO TO DRUGS AND LIFE SAVING DEMO

    On November 21st 2011 Rotaract Club of Loyola community conducted an awareness campaign FIRST AID for the club.

    IDiot

    On 27th January 2012 Idiot a cultural event for Interactors was organized. It was a joint project with Rotaract Club of Scions, Guru Nanak and Vivekananda

    Cancer awareness

    February 3rd 2012 Rotaractors from the club formed a human chain to create awareness on Breast cancer. The club was awarded as Supporting Club by Apollo hospital.

    BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

    We celebrated our Secretary MEHANA and our directors VAISHNAVI.K Bday on September 9th 2011 & Vice President THAMIZH SELVI birthday on February 28th as a part of our club service.

    On March 9 the club celebrated the women's day by planting saplings with

    the name board of women achievers..

    EYE DONATION PROJECT

    On march 14th the members of the club donated their eyes by filling up the forms given to them..400 rotaractors along with their family members donated there eyes.

    JUTE BAG

    On March 15th 2012 club encouraged the girls using Jute bags by distributing chocolates with a greeting

    Our upcoming project Penmai on March 26th 2012.. It is a joint project with Rc of East Coast
