The state government of Odisha has decided replace the Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) with the all-India Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for the 2014 - 2015 academic session. The selection of students for admission to engineering courses in the institutes in Odisha will be done through JEE (Mains) 2014 only. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced that the all India level engineering entrance exam, JEE Main 2014 (Joint Entrance Examination) would be conducted on 6 April, 2014 (offline) and from 9 - 19 April, 2014 (online.) This will be the first time that Odisha will be part of the JEE (Mains) system.

There would be two ranks for candidates who qualify in the examination. While the State rank qualifiers would be able to study in Odisha, the all-India rank would help them pursue engineering courses in any technical college in the country. Candidates, who want to appear for the JEE(Mains), will have to fill up the application form between November 15 and December 26.

More than one lakh students had appeared for B.Tech courses through OJEE 2013 conducted on 12 May, 2013. All the students will now have to apply through JEE Mains website, online. "Only those students applying for undergraduate B.Tech courses will go through the JEE Mains from this year. While implementing the transition from Statelevel entrance examination to a Central format, every State was allowed to tweak the format slightly to suit their needs. The State Government had suggested a few modifications for JEE Mains. Almost all the suggestions put forth were accepted by the CBSE.

Change in JEE Pattern and Admission . Clear the JEE Main will be allowed to sit for the JEE Advanced.Only those Candidates Can Apply That Are Born After October 1, 1988-89 . Relaxation Is Given To The Reserved Sections Including SC, ST And OBC

Minimum Of 60% Marks Required In Physics, Chemistry And Mathematics. Reserved Category The Eligibility To Give The Exam Remains 55%. Candidate Are Allowed To Sit For The jee Advanced Those Who Clear The Jee Mains 2014.

Need To Be Among The Top 20 Percentile In Board Exams . Board Does Not Give Marks, You Have Grades ; You Can Submit The Grades From The Specific Board. 20 Percentile Information Will Need To Be Submitted By The Students After Getting The Certificate From The Specific Boards. IIT-JEE Has Now Been Restricted To Only Two Chances.
