TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL
With a vision to be a leader amongst engineering institutions in India, constantly pursuing

all facets of institute functioning, COEP has from its inception, made more than its share of
contribution to the state and nation. Boasting of the lead Institute in TEQIP and equally
passionate faculty in the state, drawing the brightest young minds and powered by world class
facilities, COEP creates an environment that is competitively intense
and learning wise
satisfying. The exposure provided at COEP trains not just for technological superiority, but also
for overall understanding of the world suitably global careers for our student in the rapid
changing arena. COEP is known all over and abroad as provider of dynamic & talented engineers
to the industries.
Now more than ever, the emphasis is on Institute-Industry Interaction and both the
institute, conducting the campus recruitment programme and the Industry, participating in the
same is bound to find it mutually beneficial. We spare no efforts to groom our students, not only
in their chosen discipline but also broaden their mindsets and create positive attitudes thus
equipping them with all qualities to make them an asset to whichever institute/organization they
may join.
Training and Placement Cell plays a very vital role in the future building of the students
of the college. It is the centre of attraction for all final year students. This is the place where these
students find their dreams of career come true. The major activities of Training and Placement
Cell include:
1. To organize the campus recruitment programmes for B. Tech and M. Tech students of
different disciplines.
2. To provide at least one job to every student.
3. To organize mock seminars and assessment tests for all the eligible students for
placements before the Actual Process begins.
4. To help students for sponsorship on various projects & in-plant/internship training of
students in various industries
College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) is known all over India and abroad as a provider of
dynamic and talented engineer to the industries. Placement of students is a direct Output
Indicator of Institutes Quality and Performance. Around 125 companies visit our campus every
year for conducting recruitment programmes.
Placement of COEP is one of the best in Maharashtra. There is a huge competition among
all well known companies to visit our college at the earliest and pick up the cream of COEP. This
makes the task of TPO more difficult to decide the schedule and sequence of companies visiting
COEP in the first month of placement.
Type/Domain of Companies visiting the COEP campus:

Manufacturing, Software, ITES; Services and Products, Automobile, Public Sector, Navaratna,
Financial Banking, Military organizations, Consulting firms, Multinational companies abroad.
The Salary Packages offered in the Institute ranges from INR 4.00 Lakhs to 40* Lakhs based on
the type of the company.
*Rs. 40 Lakhs offered by EBARA Corporation-Japan this year.
